Halls of famme anyone?

Anyone use these impulse responses? HDIR to be more precise.

I know HDIR can sound really good judging from what I've heard in SIR2 and from many favourable comments I've heard about Wizoo HDIR, but are these as good as other HDIRs?

The demos sound pretty good to me but I'd like to have some feedbacks for users if it's possible.

I've got the Halls Of Fame impulse library to my 40th birthday a few days ago.
I want to comment following:
This is the best/finest thing I've ever heard when it comes to the frequently-asked-question for high-quality reverbs.
Now I know the difference between a 500Euro and a 15000Euro reverb unit.
Although I have very good VST reverbs in the under-500Euro class nothing comes close.
First I thought like many others: Why should I get commercial impulses when I could download very good ones from noisevault for free?
My opinion: You can forget anything at noisevault (I've tried almost all from the beginning including the M3000 impulses which seems to be not available anymore) if you own this library.
Contra: Fighting through 1000+ impulses to get the right one you need could be really a pain - just to be warned.

Can these be used in SIR 1?

Of course, but SIR1 is not capable to do True Stereo and HDIR processing.
You should use the Stereo Impulses instead (Impulses with C at the end of filename).
Nonetheless you will miss something if you don't have a convolution reverb that supports at least True Stereo processing.
As bootsie said: SIR2 is best to use in conjunction with this library.

It's very easy in SIR2.
Quickest way to do is to create a True Stereo .sir file by right-clicking one of the L-,R- or C-Samples inside SIR2 file-browser.
After creating the file SIR2 automatically loads the True Stereo version of the selected set.

I can only genererate a Stereo/TrueStereo SIR set, but no HDIR set.
Although TrueStereo sounds just great I wonder If I understand something wrong in the definition HDIR ?

I have got a confirmation from Christian Knufinke:
Translation from Christian's german email to me:

"HDIR" stands here for a special recording technique from engineering office Pinguin which gives the possibility to record "real" rooms in very high quality. Pinguin HDIRs are famous for their incredible signal/noise ratio with a fine resolution of impulses until -140dB. These impulses are processed with the "Pinguin HDIR Creator" which allows to compensate not ideal things in the measure chain (Speakers, Micros). Also a special Pinguin-developed algorithm (DYNEX) for refining the reverb tail is used here. Unfortunately "HDIR" is not a legally protected expression and maybe some companies could use the name "HDIR" also for marketing reasons.

This means: No chance to generate HDIR .sir files from these impulses.
Nonetheless, Halls of Fame are the finest reverb impulses I've ever heard.
