Two Questions. Is this based on the MiniPops 35 or just the MiniPops? And why didn't you make the Top part of the GUI functional? It would have been so easy to do. It's kind of like when Developers make synths with really nice keyboards that aren't functional.(cough! L-Day) I hate that considering it would be so damn easy to make it functional. I've been using SynthEdit since 2004 so I know quite a lot about it and making those keyboards functional really is a piece of cake. There are even several prefabs that do 90% of the work for you all you have to do is load in your own Keyboard Key Images and that's it. I still love this MiniPops Emu and I'm grateful you shared it with us. Keep up the Great Work.

I have to agree with BFunKu. It is like a monkey sees a banana in a mirror and tries to grab it in the mirror.

Here is a cool page that has a bunch of virtual Vintage DrumMachines that you can play around with. There not VSTi or anything but they are still fun to play around with and you can record any sounds or beats you make with any audio editor that has record. Check it out if you haven't already tried it before.
They are based on the Shockwave/Flash web browser plug.

I could actually need help in making a functional keyboard based on my own design. I've searched google but haven't found a keyboard prefab or module or how to skin it. I don't want to have too use the ugly pre-set or have non at all. Think you can point me towards an easy to use prefab?BFunKu wrote:Two Questions. The top module was going to have the pre-set rhythms and control the volume but I couldn't get more than one midi file in the VSTi at once without using a file dialogue (which defeats the purpose). So I just left it in there to look pretty. It's probably do-able but I haven't been using synthedit for long (I used to use a specialised version of synth-maker in FLStudio8).
Glad ya like the VSTi though and thanks for some critique.
Do you chip-tune?

Or if you have MIDI-files from the original rhythms, why not just put them in the ZIP ?

His site is so badly laid out, I couldn't find alot of modules. Thanks for pointing it out to me. When I have time I'll make some click-able buttons and slap in some midi files.WOK wrote: You need this:

If they were samples you wouldn't be able to tweak the pitch of the kick or the snap of the snare without it being so frighteningly obvious that you'd have to be deaf to not notice it. It's a synthesized recreation of mid 70s drum machines.JPQ wrote:Uses samples? if not very good and i maybe use it. and if samples you sampled them?

Seeing as the music industry is still sucking milk from the lactating breast of early 80s and late 70s synthesizers I should think so. lolkangul wrote: And dare I say it's a good recreation of mid 70s drum machine which sound is highly usable in today's music?
