Co-sign. BLUE is an awesome synth that sounds incredible and is very, very deep, yet easy to program once you get the hang of it. One of my absolute favorites.

I'll add Twin and Wusikstation (both get talked about, but are also underestimated).

The Ensoniq Esq-1 is the most underated synth in the world :)

ES2.

I had to slap something together really quickly the other day, absolutely no time to use something else but presets. I started using PopularStripedSynth for a couple of tracks, all very nice. Just for the heck of it I put ES2 on the remaining track, and damned if one of the presets wasn't every bit as good sounding as the PopularStripedSynth tracks.

Yet it's hardly ever mentioned in this forum.

Ahh, it's magazineware! and coming with a German mag, there was little chance I could see that (I don't know German, alas)

+1 but a pain in the ass to program.
I'd use it if I didn't make music for satan
Hehe, best liscence agreement ever on Zyn! The guy has guts and I think he's sincere. Anyway I've used Zyn tons, AFAIK I haven't made any music against
G-d, Jesus, Buddha or anyone else, :D

The interface is laborious, tedious etc. but isn't it open code? somebody could make it prettier and easier to handle. Definitely a candidate for most underated.

I had to stop using Voyager because it was crashing Live 7 and seems to be abandoned by the developer. Anyone else had that problem? It did sound good when it worked though. I really wish developers would make their stuff open source when they decide it's no longer worth developing for themselves. Especially with free stuff. Unless they're somehow using their code in a commercial project I don't see the harm in it.

So my vote (based on the whim o' the moment) is Image-Line's Toxic III.
