And the volume is so low, but so LOW that we can ear the computer fans !!
(i have some people near to not desturb) my speakers are in delirant aghony in my bedroom.

The CHHHHHHH is the demo of Ampeg svx and the drum is XLNAudio , one rithm on fly.

MAHAHA :hihi:

Jokes apart.. this is a rapid and noncurance placment of my sm57.

Imho, and i repeat IMHO, this sound is better as simulations (and note the conditions of recording... panik...)

Usable or not usable, this x88, as posted, don't likes me.

I repeat my answer : THIS SOLDANO X88 is in "essency" as samples posted??
Bye bye

P.S. what is mine amp ? eh eh eh

Ok... i finished my jokes..

I picked up a copy of the magazine earlier this evening and got to finally try the amp. Here is my first take on it:

Deleted

The musical theme itself is a cliché and there are problems with playing dynamics/levels, but the intent is to demonstrate the liveliness of the amp emulation.

While Soldano X-88 might not be my favorite amp, this program is quite impressive.

Second (clean) guitar sound is Warp VST. It is all being sent through PSP SpringVerb.

Thanks to all of you who replied to my posting.

Very nice. The playing response seems to be pretty great. Need to get this one for sure.
Oh, btw, fine playing there, too!

Hi rale_m,
sorry for not replying earlier. Just saw your message and clip. My sample was recorded using my Blade R1 going to an M-Audio Audiobuddy preamp. Audiobuddy is very good for guitar/bass signals and very cheap (~80$ I think)
Nice playing and sound in your clip. What's the guitar?

Sascha and Zeoy, thank you.

Sascha, yes, this is a very nice and responsive software amp. Definitely worth getting!

Thanks for the info Zeoy. To answer your question, the guitar is G&L Tribute ASAT - korean version of G&L ASAT which has the same electronics as american-made models. This guitar looks very much like a telecaster, but has different kind of pickups.

G&L, as you may already know, is Leo Fender's company, and while ASAT pickups are intended to be an "improved" version of pickups found on his older models, I find that they have a tendency to sound a bit too brittle and clinical at times. While I don't own a Telecaster, I have to say that I prefer telecaster sound overall.

there was definitely that Tele character there (that's why I liked the sound and asked about it) :tu:

I like this one now..

Sorry to bump this old little bugger, but I recently stomped over the fact, that SimulAnalog/Overloud created this Soldano critter before they worked on TH-1.

My Q out to the peeps who have the CM magazine is, since when is this pack included? I can offer the following CM DVDs: CM74, CM94 (Dec05) and CM96 (Feb06).

Since it's darn expensive for me here in Germany to get a new one (15bucks now! Import! Ripoff...), maybe I'm lucky and have this one already. Or do I need to bite the bullet and grab a more recent issue?

Thanks in advance.
