Since SIR and Pristine Space is not for Mac I was wondering what the alternative would be?

Nebula is a not linear convolution based reverb and more....

It will be out for Mac users on 01/01/2009.

No it is based opn sampling and it come with a libraries of 9 Gigabytes of impulse responses emulating more than 400 different hardware units like reverbs, preamplifiers, compressors, equalisers, tapes and more....

SIR 2 I think is a bit overpriced when looking at the quality and quantity of it's library.

I had (or still have?) the same problem with IR convolvers for Mac.

Altiverb my be the best choice but it's out of my budget range. SIR 2 is nice (tried the demo) but I think it's too expensive for what it is (comes to 150 EUR incl. VAT with 4 included HDIRs).

I went the risky route and bought Yellowtool's Origami (based on the specs especially the positioning tool and the downloadable manual). It's not yet there so I can't tell about the quality.
I just realised that I even don't know if it supports 32bit HDIR and if it has a zero latency mode. Maybe I was to quick. Does anyone know more about Origami?

I know, I could have tested it by downloading 1.5 GByte! Independence Free but I didn't want to cluster my harddisk by downloading huge teaser instruments

PS: Forgot NI's Kontakt. I have to check if you can use the convolution engine (which is quite basic and cpu-hungry) as an independent effect...

I mailed the developers but they didn't know when or if Pristine Space will be available for Mac. it sounded like a rather long waiting time.

Origami got a really nice cathedral IR. One of the best I've heard, smooth and musical.

Someone should really tap this marked more, though the main reason is probably the quite brilliant Space Designer in Logic, which comes with tons and tons of nice IR's.

Thanks for that, I've been looking for something to try out guitar cab IRs, and this would be cheap even if I couldn't demo it!

i found it via Google, but Im not on a mac, so Im afraid I couldnt say how good it is or whatever. hope its useful, though.
