Hello,

what are the Demo-Restrictions of RMV?
Is a manual included in the DEMO-Download of RMV?

Thanks

The Demos are fully functional. The only restriction that applies to demo versions is that they emit a noise about once every minute.
took me 20 seconds to find that out....

a VST2.0 or AU capable host software, a screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher, internet access OR Syncrosoft USB eLicenser for license activation
i assumed this to mean you got an activation key via email or something to use the demo...but alas no....

so its no demo if you dont have a sync stick?

Post

Ok, lets be precise: The instrument is the same as the full version. Its activated via Syncrosoft Activation Key, the license then can be stored on the computer OR a USB stick. If you activate it with a demo license its a demo, else the full beast.

Was that the question ?

how do you activate the demo?

(i have no syncsoft at all on my pc, do i need it for the demo?)

Post

Unfortunately you would indeed need it. Thats a disadvantage of the Syncro system.
To activate the demo you request a Authorization code from us that you enter in the Syncrosoft LCC (part of the software installed with the demo) to download the demo license.

Yes... I also have my problems with "demo license" ...

When I load the demo in Live 7.0.10, I have no automation drop box arrow and the ECS doesn't work... so no automation!??
Also when I load a track with an RMV in it - there is always a loop loaded in loop slot 1... I don't even USE the loop function, why does it load itself every time? Even when I manually unload all kits, loops, samples, grooves and other crap - it happens every time. Is that a limitation of the Demo? Also... I cannot use the Mix knob on the snare drum 1 synth - it glitches all over the place and jumps from side to side (2 o'clock to 10 o'clock sorta thang)...

I must say, I was looking forward to version 5, but I'm not convinced enough to upgrade yet... nice Snare drum synth though! and the compression sounds better!... i wish I could just use a cut down version for the synth modules though, I reckon LinPlug rock at the SYNTHESIS side of things. I think all the loops and grooves (etc) are a real pain in the date. Leave that sh!te to all the romplers, and that Guru program... : ( "oh, ok Simon, we'll drop everything and start coding you a nice little Drum Synth shall we..."

my one and a half cents...

Sqigls, ECS is working pretty nice here. The Mix not working as expected is indeed a bug, its fixed in 502. The Loop is loaded because its a demo and its easier for people to press play than to find out how to load something ...thus a kit and a loop. You can easily unload it at start of the demo (red x).

However, there is a bug in the demo, that when you set the MIDI channel of the kit to "All" the Audio-Loop will trigger the kit even after its unloaded.

Gee I hope you are getting a huge kickback from SynchroSoft :bang:

Do past (paying) customers ever get rated above those that you think steal your software

6 months ago I would have honestly stated that Linplug and Rob Papen were about the best dev's around.

Sadly, after the C/P crap, Urs, Tone2, Pro-Sounds, Disco dsp, etc etc, have already got my cash, with more to go there way....

To go from so high. all for the love of Syncrosoft, is beyond me.....

Oh dang ... I was hoping for a serial number based system :(
