Hello guys!
I started producing music about two years ago..but today, going through some samples sites to whatch for news i saw http://www.galbanum.com/products/ . It seems to be an amazing company, i really like the demo previews and i suggest you to give a look at this site if you don't know it!
I saw that there are some libraries composed only by waveforms...
and my question is...how can i use them?
I saw that the company also sells .wav format files for this waveforms...
Do i have a vst that allows me to load waveforms?
This company is in parntership whit Native Instruments and i understood that the waveforms are suitable for Absynth and Massive...
But..Can i load it in other plugins?
I found this...for example http://www.gersic.com/plugins/index.php ... t&action=1
Does it work with that waveforms?
Thank you for the attention and please excuse me if the question it's stupid!:)
Cheers!

The 'Architecture' waveforms, you mean?Marquez-IT wrote:I saw that there are some libraries composed only by waveforms...
Use a given set in the synth they're designed for. Check the different versions; the page for the 'ABS' set, for example, tells you they're for Absynth.and my question is...how can i use them?
I dont know. Most samplers support .WAV.Do i have a vst that allows me to load waveforms?
The ABS set solely is for Absynth. I dont think Massive can use external waveforms anyway. This company is in parntership whit Native Instruments and i understood that the waveforms are suitable for Absynth and Massive...
It would depend on the plugin, and the format of the Architecture set. The UNI (.WAV format) and CE (.sfz format) sets are used by the most plugins, in that order.But..Can i load it in other plugins?
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

So i think i can use the "UNI" pack in other plugins for sure...

as long as they support .wav files in some way, yes. Galbanum provide demo versions of each format, I believe; best to check your plugins out with that...Marquez-IT wrote:Oh thank you man!

by the way, it would appear Atlantis will support them, as you asked.
atlantis manual wrote:Atlantis uses hi-resolution multilayer 32 bit wavetables internally. All you need to do to add some custom waveforms to the synth are drop .wav files in the data folder that is specified in the config dialog (probably \My Documents\Atlantis). Atlantis will automagically convert from 8, 16, 24 bit to the size and length that it needs using a high quality spline interpolation.

Thank you a lot for the replies and the attention!
Now all it's clearer!

Could you please suggest me other waveforms packs?
No matter if they are free or commercial...i just want to know something more about them!

To be honest, I cant actually think of another company doing single-cycle waveforms.
However, there are a few soundbanks for Rapture out there which will probably include single-cycle waveforms in .sfz format... .sfz is basically a combination of a textfile and one or more .wav (or .ogg) files. You could try using the .wav part on its own. Try PatchArena for Rapture banks.

Bones has a metric shittonne of single cycle waveforms on his site.
http://www.novakill.com/orion.htm
Check for wavetables. I've succesfully loaded these into Atlantis.
There are about 900 single cycle waves in that wavetable.zip.

Most half decent DAWs will load WAV files straigh into audio. If its just a sound you want and not specific notes you can load the WAV files and move them around.
There are a million drum samples floating around on the net all in WAV format (and in monthly mags). Get your drum sounds by combining these easily, thats all a drum sampler does anyway.
You can do the same with other wav sounds but it nay be harder.
