No, actually, that's ANOTHER plug-in being announced within the same time frame.

So, to give you some hints here... let's see. First of all, these two plug-ins are actually not done with IK. Although don't worry SR still works very closely with IK and Studiophonik is not that far off (we're even going to give the SPK group buyers some more advance sounds soon as well to keep them happy) plus we have another surprise with IK that we'll probably show at NAMM.

But, these two plug-ins we're going to announce are different. Their actually BOTH !nfinitely expandable but only one of them will be labeled "!nfinite"... and if you think you've been waiting since the beginning of 2008, some people have been waiting since the beginning of 2005. ;) Yet, it does a lot more than what anyone is expecting. In fact, it has a new way of creating amazing sounding tracks with the most cutting edge realism... I better just finish my video demo so people can finally see what we've been working on for the past 4 years here. It's been a long and winding road...

Hey Squids,

Soooo is this all tied into the downloadablesoundz website that I have been watching since June (which said Coming in August 2008...Coming In September 2008.....Coming October 15 2008....Coming October 25 2008...Coming November 5 2008) today is November 6th BTW and it still says Coming November 5!

Or are these two separate events?

I know, I should get a life. :hihi:

Thanks!

Mike

NEVERMIND...I JUST SAW YOUR POST ABOUT DOWNLOADABLESOUNDZ OPENING TODAY!!!!

TIME TO DUST OFF THE OL' CREDIT CARD.

My Guess:

Product One: eSoundz SAMPLE PLAYBACK SYNTH that loads from the Internet any sound you need to purchase without leaving the synth :hihi: :hihi:

Product Two: eSoundz SAMPLER PLAYBACK SYNTH INFINITE that allows you to use any sound in the universe (that squids has recorded) by subscription  :-o :o :hihi: :hihi:

Or an AUDIO UNITS mixer of some sort . . .

Or - best of all - Squiddly TRON VERSION 3!

how about the midi loop player? or BFD2 kits?
too much is never enough. - gmontano on esoundz.com

Yeah, yeah... sort of yeah... ok, press releases going out tomorrow. Why not today? Time. Takes time. ;) Site's up. I'll have to explain how it works. You buy credits ahead of time and it depletes. A little different than esoundz but there's more to it than that. Kind of like istockphoto meets itunes but for sounds. This is just the beginning though.

Didn't see anything that appeared 'new' yet on 'downloadablesoundz' and looks like the same stuff available from esoundz' downloadable section. But this "!nfinite" thing....whatever it is....has me intrigued.

It essentially is based on the esoundz downloadable section for a start (a nice start in fact especially in downloadable sound libraries). The loops ala carte are different than Loop Club though. Loop Club on esoundz is subscription-based where Loops Ala Carte on www.downloadablesoundz.com you can actually just use your epointz or purchased creditz on straight away. Maximize every epoint or credit you've got left over with thousands of loops to choose from (that will also be growing over time).

Very soon we'll have downloadable instruments in a variety of sampler formats as well. Then there's these Infinitely cool plug-in/expansion libraries we've been hinting at... and a few other things. More will be revealed later today (Friday).

is the announcement still coming today?

Post

It was supposed to but we had some delays. Preparing for this trip and trying to finish the ads (I actually do a lot of the graphics because we can't seem to find the right graphics person here... help?). Basically, some of us are going on a European tour here (Germany, UK, Sweden, Denmark) starting next week and we're visiting stores, distributors and also some amazing recording sessions that I can't talk about until they happen but ironically I CAN talk about them a bit WHILE they're happening... and will at least try to blog or stream video in real time of some of it. Let's just say that if you're into classic rock and studio gear it doesn't get any cooler than this - at least for me. In the space of a week... well, it's just insane. But, ironically that is also a part of this !nfinitely cool plug-in I've been hinting around at. If I just blurted it out before you could see it and read about that would be lame... otherwise I'd love to just tell you. The press release will go out on Monday for sure though and another surprise at the same time. Then we're traveling starting Tuesday and I'll be reporting from different places around the world as long as I have internet with me.

I admit though that we're a little nuts. You'll see. But, we love this stuff and we're bold and fearless. We're after capturing the real deal. You know that. We also meddle in dangerous psychological and sociological territory between musicians, bands, producers, engineers... if you only knew the sort of soap opera behind some of these things. We're like moderators sometimes. Eh, too hard to explain until after we do it because you never know what is going to happen. You can sigh in relief AFTER and sometimes tell a good story.

But, anyway, to be cool since it is the weekend and so you don't have to wait until Monday to hear EVERYTHING that's coming, one of the announcements will be that Studio ProFiles Drum Masters Silver, Gold and/or Platinum Edition will be available as downloads or on a custom disc. It will work as a plug-in for both the multi-track kits and the audio grooves. 8 Legendary drummers in the studio. That alone is pretty darn exciting... took us years to make. Especially since the plug-in will read multi-track REXES which you can't find anywhere else but from Sonic Reality (because Reycle is the only thing that makes rexes and it only does stereo... we had to create a way around that). So, think about that for a bit and you can get pumped because that product can create some of the best sounding authentic realistic drum tracks you've ever heard come out of your computer. I am hoping to do a video demo to show why I'd say such a thing this weekend if I can but if not I will try to do it on this trip or when we get back.

Oh, it's just a rock song (remixed from a video game) with the lyrics "It's been a long and winding road" as the first words to one of the verses.
