Very cool, thanks.Christian Budde wrote: You can find an older "release" of the knobs here
However, I have about twice as much done by now.

thanks christian. i dont worry about copyright issue, you cant copyright the way something looks at that base of a level can you?
ie: chrome knobs with treadplate outer grab areas that twist clockwise and counter clockwise reflecting light etc?
i've not heard of this before, the most original stuff i've seen is from novation for their knobs back in the day with the little blue lights around, quite cool. though i've seen plenty of other mfg's emulate this, in both hard and soft, so i guess ti's safe?

it seems the mystery is solved. you won't believe it....g200kg wrote: If you dump the exported tga file, you can find following
(almost hard-coded) 18bytes header. xx xx and yy yy is

00000010: 20 28
could you check or send me the exported tga file?
apparently ACDSee 3.1 AND Paint Shop Pro 8.10 I use on machine 1 don't display transparency in the images correctly. on machine 2 (a vm where I use IrfanView for browsing, and gimp on linux which hosts the vm) everything looks fine.
I was simply fooled by an image viewer and editor. fooled by (older) commercial software while current freeware works fine. ugh! since I crosschecked what I saw when browsing through the export files with another program I thought I was safe, but I was wrong...
I removed the old knobman entirely, installed a fresh 1.26 and loaded a knob. manipulated it, exported it, viewed it. all fine. doh!
(I have, nevertheless, files where 20 28 is in the header, but the background is white, but these are from mid-august, and you seem to have fixed the bug long ago. but both files looked exactly the same when viewed on the wrong machine.)

g200kg, is it possible to give us a circle primitive that is editable in shape?
reason i'm asking is, that you can't draw a circle with the bezier, and mostly i just need to "cut out" a portion of a circle in order to have the shape i want ... so basically it would be nice if we could edit the shape of the circle primitives (in fact, all primitive shapes)... masking won't work, as the diffusion of the shape wouldn't work at the mask-borders, as well as the rotating would become difficult ...
and, could we have textures as primitives themself, so that we can layer only textures on none rotating primitives, but the texture is rotatable?
and a last one:
i'd like to be able to automate the drop shadow aswell the inside shadow.
reason is, for buttons, depressed they have a drop shadow, pressed they don't have a drop shadow, but sometimes an imside shadow ...
now, i can fake this with another primitive, but the diffusion of shapes look different that the diffusion of the shadows ...
would that be possible?

hi all,
my 1st iso 3d knob sample
http://www.novaflash.com/temp/
...and a question :
how to "offset" all layer simultaneously ?
(and do not modify "aspect" into primitive window)
suggestion :
to rename a layer -> F2 and/or double-click ?
small mistake :
right click on layer, dupulicate -> duplicate
GIF export : I've forget something ?
usually i don't use the GIF format but i've tried
to post here the animated result, i'm a bit despited,
ugly picture

Just want to let you know that I also uploaded the other missing knobs I have done so far. Find them here: https://sourceforge.net/project/showfil ... _id=638772
As I said, some knobs are clones of existing knobs. If you find a copy of your knob there and do not agree to have it there, feel free to contact me, so that I can change the appearance to have less similarity. However, not using the knobs in actual products I do not think that the similarity is a problem, you should understand it more from a "how-to" perspective.

Folks, I need some help with this one:

VU Meter
I think I've found a bug, and it may have already been mentioned, but I'll pass it along anyway. When you turn on the drop shadow and then turn it off later, the shadow remains. This is a problem in the above control because I started out with the main line meter. I added a shadow to it. So far, so good. To save time, I duplicated the layer several times, masking it to create the tick marks. I noticed that they looked blurry and realized that the drop shadow was on for those layers. I turned it off, but it didn't remove the shadows. I'd hate to have to do those tick marks all over again.
Also, this isn't a bug, but I'm having trouble creating the red part of the meter. I need a slight curve that's three or four times thicker than the black part of the curve. Not sure how to acheive this. I tried using several line circles, but it doesn't look clear. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
EDIT: I'm using v1.25
EDIT 2:

This is with the shadow density turned all the way down. Also, I cleaned up the red curve (didn't really solve the problem described above, just avoided it).
Also, I tweaked the edges a little on the surrounding rectangles.

As a stopgap measure, I just turn the density down to zero.novaflash wrote:@Leslie Sanford :

it's the knob file. Check the preference tab and choose "stitched strip".Kriminal wrote:looks prety good, do you have the .knob file? (this is just one frame)
