Somehow Ambience fits my needs. What's the usual amount of $ donation? (never done it)

I'd really like to get rid of the nag screen (but don't want to get a new "Cheapskate" one)

Most of us in music are 99% 'starving musicians', and I'm sure the Smart team is aware they are not going to make millions off us. But I think $10US if you're a real fan of a piece is the norm? If you're a sheik and want to send $1000 and 3 wives, I doubt any of the Smart team would decline. But even if you can only scrounge up $5US, the Smart boys would be just as grateful.

And of course support here, and promotion outside - be it T-shirt, or just screaming "I LOVE SMARTELECTRONIX!" helps as well. (I gotta get a job - my voice is getting hoarse from so much screaming, and my neighboors are telling me to shut up! )
