Hi people,
here is a link to a new track that is part of a bunch of four. I already posted the first track here: 01 Glide * Dark ambient * 224 kBps * 10.6 MB
The reason I open a new thread is that the Music Tracker does not pick up this newly posted track otherwise, or am I wrong?
The remaining two parts will follow soon (hopefully) and I will upload a cuesheet in case anyone would like to burn the lot to cd. Any comment as to the composition, production or whatever, is very much appreciated:
02 Morphine * Soundscape * 224 kBps * 9 MB
Kind regards, Slug (37,2°C)

Not sure if I like this one or not... but I've played it through 5 times now so you must be doing something right
I thought the other one was a bit bass heavy on my pc speakers

Like the way you go from the stepping bass to the footsteps and back again. Glad you've kept to a similar aural palette as well which does tie the 2 tracks together.

Cheers Az're-ul! that is, I remain curious what I would be doing good according to you. About the heavy bass I replied to you
I will try to compress the bass on 'Glide' someday soon and upload it afterwards.I create all my tracks using headphones due to my pc-speakers that are cheap too. Recently I played one of my tracks on a friend's high end equipment, and it sounded truly awful. It takes proper mastering skills (that I obviously do not have) to provide adequate playback on all hifi-sets. Till then, I suggest to use headphones.
Thanks for your message, kind regards, Slug

This is more hypnotic than the than Glide, but for me Glide was more coherent. It will probably all gel for me when I hear all 4 parts in 1 go. The only thing I don't like is the 50s sci-fi sweep type sound as it seems out of place to me, everything else sounds great.Slug (37,2°) wrote:![]()

Sorry Slug, I was just joking - I did read your reply in the other thread and can sympathise. The bass on this one whilst heavy is not as pervasive.Slug (37,2°) wrote:About the heavy bass I replied to you

Lovely track Slug! Nice atmospherics and build up. I somehow wish for more dirt, or quirkiness or something, but really beautiful as is.

Hi polyslax,
thanks for the comment... indeed, there could have been more quirkiness in the track: in that respect the fourth part might satisfy a bit more. Or you could do a mashup?
Regards! Slug
