bought it, it's absolutely brilliant. only one small complaint. why on earth does the licensing info tied to the key include the email address and not just the name, like with microtonic? I have used an existing shareit account registered to an old email address that I plan to abandon soon and now this old address is stuck on my Synplant

To me it just looks like a fancy way of using a random function on a synth. Chainer and eXT1.4 and others already do a random function quite nicely.

Oh well, saves me some money!
Anybody that writes this off after 15 minutes is doing themselves a huge disservice. It most certainly is *not* just another random function.
Never said that I was writing it off, I just mentioned that it seems to be merely a fancy random function.

If not, why not?

Glad you like it, but my world doesn't come to a screeching halt just because a new synth comes out that I may not decide to buy!

Look, just because someone changes the names of commonly used synth parameters to words like plant, weed, etc, etc. doesn't make it signifigant, it just makes it a clever marketing ploy by repackaging existing concepts.

Have fun with your synth-oh,sorry-GARDEN sounds!
well o.k, if you want to look at it as just one fancy random feature, I can see where you are coming from, but did you look into the gene manipualtion ?
cloning branches ? Oh this is one of those synths that has boundless possiblities, and just when I was getting bored to death from the lack of flavor. This is one tasty plant, and I don't even have to add a dressing to it.

F I N A L L Y !!!!

I can finally openly praise this gem. after months of beta testing and sound designing for this great synth, I can now shout to the world how much I love this thing.
completely off topic, I've been engineering professionally for 18 years, but somehow having my name In the "about" screen and the manual from this plugins is one of the thing i'm the most proud of, simple as that. I've been late to work so many time in the past 3 months and cancelled so many mastering sessions because I was playing with this that it's not even funny. Magnus, you owe me money!

If anyone wants a truly original instrument to play or program, then this is it. and far more versatile than it seems.

It's not what you use, it's how you use it...

Listened to the demo recording - the price on this is amazing! Still haven't got a copy of utonic, but this one is on my list too!

Chopper, it is obvious that ALOT of thought, and imagination went into
this synth. I can't even begin to imagine the mind of it's creator, LOL.
hat said, do you think this will pave the way for other creations of such uniqueness ?

It's been a long time simce I have been this excited over a synthesizer,
I just messed with it again for about 2 mintues and had already created a really cool sound, but the thing I like about this is it's simplicity,
so simple that anyone with no knowledge of synthesis could get really
good results, just start messing around.

not for anyone that has a particular sound in mind though..which IMHO is a good thing, I like sounds that sound like no other.

damn..I am so excited that I keep babbling on...

better shut up and get some tweek time before my boss rolls around.

I really hope so. I think there are a lot of interesting ways we could interact with software instruments that haven't been explored at all yet. I hope this encourages a lot of developers to try new things and reexamine a lot of the comfortable conventions we adhere to in synth design.

The demos sound good and what a novel idea. How innovative!!! The demo is also very generous!!! Applause to Sonic Charge!

Well I can now unveil it - I got this special edition, the Synsnow, sadly enough sold only in one copy. Exactly the same engine, just that my vsti additionally produces - you guessed it

snow. You have to play for 2 weeks, after which a mile around you there is powder snow everywhere. Every "branch" gives singular crystals, like in reality.

(wakes up)
Err - just played an hour with the Synplant, this is an absolutely beautiful synth!

The "AZ Sack Of Tubes" patch is absolutely stunning, a class of its own - came down on me just when I thought that every useful lead sound has already been found... A potential future classic, sort of Enigma's "panflute" of 21 century....
