IFF Synth is an Additive/Subtractive synth created In SynthEdit. It includes a single wavetable oscillator with 64 indexes that can be morphed between each other. You can edit the waveform harmonics and/or the waveshape itself. There are 6 independent envelopes, that can act like LFOs when looped. All onboard Effects and Mixer parameters can be modulated as well.

got a small trick with rapidshare, when downloading small files...
i hit the "free download" button on several files' pages to start the countdown, then when its finished, i start the downloads in a raw , waiting for each file to complete before starting the new one: generally you can download 3 -4 files in a row, doin like that..

some of the oldest vstis made i think...the dev was a sort of "guru" at the time for creating software emulations of old machines, although those were pioneeristic dayz...

must be, synthedit can't even open them, it keeps saying to upgrade the program, but i have the latest version i think,
i think i need a really old one to build them...they may be 16 bit dll's or something.

This thingie is called IFF-Synth or something like that. It got a lot of praises after KVR 200x dev compo, but I can't run this damned thing. I tried several machines and the synth crashes every time without even making a blip. Maybe someone can make some demos?

Nahkranoth IIRC i had the same problems too, i think it is where the files are located which causes the problem and in the readme it explains how to get it working so the synth 'see's' its library/folder when you start your host app because its stored seperate from the VstPlugin directory (f**k knows why!) but i hope that helps and you get it working mate

Advisory Level: Ideal if you need to defy space-time between computers

Somewhat like Jack but using an "effects insert" metaphor, Wormhole is a VST plug-in that allows you to route audio between computers or hosts. It's the creation of the developers at plasq, who moved on from audio to Comic Life and Skitch but kindly open-sourced this tool. Wormhole2 does only audio, not MIDI, but it's extremely flexible with audio, and can even work between platforms. For instance, you could start with Apple's Sculpture as a sound source from a Mac, but route it into a PC-only effect on a different machine, tracking the results into SONAR. You can sync the two machines, and even route audio back to the first machine, all without the use of a single physical cable. This could be especially nice if you want to collaborate with someone on a different OS.

Wormhole is easier to understand than JACK, and its use as an effects insert can work well. They're looking for a new leader on the project, so any developers reading this, go have a look.

You need the VST SDK 2.4 (free from steinberg: you just create a free account as a 3rd party developer and then ya can login and grab it)

Wormhole2 is dependent on Steinberg's VSTSDK, which is not open-source. In order to build the binaries you'll need the VSTSDK 2.4 as well as some additional files. These files contain parts of the VSTSDK and are available solely from plasq as they cannot be open-sourced.
