Hi,
I love the new drum synth in RMV, but have been wondering a couple of things:
Is it possible to control it via midi/cc commands?
Are there no presets for it? - when I filter the drum library for individual pad sounds by the Drum Synth module, it returns nothing. Is this expected?
Is it possible to modulate it via the modulation matrix?
Thanks!

Hi Tom,
you can learn any MIDI CC assigment using ECS (please consult the manual for details), and yes, there are no presets for it, its a pretty naked beast. I intended to do them myself, but failed to deliver so far.
You cannot use the Matrix to modulate any of its paramteres, only the general pad parameters (such as filters, amplitude, pitch).

Are presets from the RMIV drumsynth compatible with the new RMV drumsynth?

Usually yes; first of all, the RMV has all the specific drum synth modules of RMIV, just some where enhanced by additional parameters. The universal drum synth is new, so there is nothing it could be compatible to. I must however admit that due to the new parameters the sound could be slightly different at the one or other module.

Hi Peter! Could you tell more about style coverage of audio loops in RMV and how is drum kit base extended from RMIV?
Are there any audio demos of loops that are in RMV? Sincerely, I'm in a hunt for a "cover-it-all" drum plugin and RMV might be it...

The manual states the following:Peter from LinPlug wrote:Hi Tom,

To access the ECS section click on the ECS control's label which is located in the Master section of the instrument on the upper left of the RMV's front panel. Clicking on the ECS button opens a popup menu.
When I click the ECS button no menu pops up - nothing happens.
I'm using Cubase Studio 4.5

Yeah, the manual is a bit confusing. That stumped me too. There is "ECS" text and then there is the "ECS indicator." Click the "ECS" text to see the pop-up menu. Click the "ECS indicator" to skip the menu.

I m just testing the demo now, and I can't find a way to learn notes for pads. The pad matrix seems a bit confusion, and reading the manual doesn't seem to help :/

Ok - I love this plugin so far. Been after something like this for the better part of 10 years...
Anyway, scratching my head - where is the MASTER section where you control the envelope (ADSR) and master FX for each instrument?!
Routing to the Sends is also goofy. Let's say you want to send *everything* to a reverb. From what I can tell - please tell me I'm missing something - you have to make all the hits/slices into a GROUP, then using the right mouse button (wha?) any changes you make effect all slices. So you group everything (a pain in itself) then you righ-click drag the send volume....? madness And if you want a bitcrusher or EQ to be 100% wet?
ALL the amazing work they did and no one thought to make a master EQ/FX and master ADSR. Like buying a Ferrari with tractor tires on it.

It's a little easier than that. Just click on the "edit all" button to the right of the loop (it should all turn white). No need to make a group. Then make all FX changes using the right mouse button (goofy, yes, but you get used to it).
