Hello
I have this project in eXT 1.4 where I can't edit midi clips anymore. The clips just don't open, whether I double click them or click "part> edit".
Any idea what I can do to solve this? I might have saved thuis particular project inside eXT VSTi loaded in Reaper, can't quite remember.
thanks

Thanks a lot for your kind help. Just for the record I'm on Windows XP (my DAW is) and I think the project got corrupted when I saved it from inside Reaper (eXt as VSTi).Optomadic wrote:Umm zip it and upload it here: http://www.imagehost.org/ {I know, an image site :roll but it works!}.. Ok I was able to fully open the project. It seems like its a plugin thats causing your problems (as there were so many of them
).. I resaved it and sent it back to your email.
If it opens, you may have to reinstance/reload some or all the plugins (all though I did not remove any of them). I think as long as you put it in the same project file folder you should automatically get back the audiofiles. I also added some screen shots so you know what went where.
Let me know how it goes.

You can however still edit them by expanding them by double clicking the track header. Not as good as being able to get right in there but at least it allows some access..

So the fact that I loaded your project in sandbox mode (no effects/plugins etc) and it still does not allow for editing clips shows its NOT a plugin doing this.
I'm still going to fiddle with this. If I get it to work I'll halla at you!

the popup editor could be loading offscreen, or behind the windows taskbar. if it's not behind the taskbar you can simulate a second monitor with this program: http://www.fatfreesoft.com/2desk.php
if that doesn't work i'm sure there is a way to edit the editor location directly in the project file with a hex editor, but i haven't tried it...

Yup, this has happened to me before. I just upped my monitor resolution and dragged the window back to the centre.insertpizhere wrote:the popup editor could be loading offscreen, or behind the windows taskbar. if it's not behind the taskbar you can simulate a second monitor with this program: http://www.fatfreesoft.com/2desk.php

Good news, I was able to fix the problem!!!
IPH gave me the idea of the window being opened way off the screen and I mean it was WAAAY off. You probably would not be able to see it even if you had 10 monitors connected! I found out the window WAS opening with WinspectorU.
Download the fix here:

Ext Clip Fix
It works like this.
- Run the fix or Open the project in question.
- Open the sequencer and double click a clip (MAKE SURE NO OTHER WINDOW IS OPENED AFTER).
- Press F4 (I chose this as it doesnt do anything in eXT)
You should then see the window appear!
Press escape to get close the fix.
Thanks to IPH for the insight!

This sounds useful but I get "Address Not Found"
"Sometimes I think of Abraham...
How one star he saw had been lit for me"
How one star he saw had been lit for me"
