hi

I have a barebones project in SX 2.01.10 with 3 midi tracks:

plugstation PF piano
DS404 nskitfull patch
sampletank 1

It's looping over a few bars.

If, whilst the song is playing, I attempt to bring the ds404 window up SX disappears and I'm left with a buzz on the stereo OUT of my soundcard (rme multiface).

This is repeatable.

Could this be anything to do with DS404 ?

cheers

It certainly could be a bug, but until our updates arrive from Steinberg I can't really say. I'll certainly be looking into as soon as get my hands on the software.

I've not been able to reproduce this issue here on three seperate systems. Other testers have reported similar experiences. I'll keep looking though, there's a few things going on that I'm not happy with.

Anyway, today I have found all sorts of interesting new ways to make Cubase SX2 crash, so I guess that's a bonus :-o

Personally, I'm holding off on my SX2 upgrade. Too many reports at cubase.net, kvr-vst and other places of flaky behaviour with and without vstis.

So it isn't just a Muon problem. :)

SX2 is working really well for me.
I use many plugins but the DS404 is the only one that crashes.

We're on the case. There's an issue that can lead to a crash that we're investigating - at this stage it seems that Steinberg are doing something different with the UI updates in SX2 and this is have a nasty effect on DS404.
