Who think this pedal should be part of TH1 in the future?

Just listen to the sounds. It has all the hi-gain and brutal distortion anyone would want no doubt. It would also save Simon a lot of time and work because just this pedal would handle all the distortion and no need for anything else anymore only that a extra gain control would be awesome so it would not look like a copy.

don't tell the graphics guy... but I can't stand it myself tooBevoss wrote: Totally OT, I think the graphics are awesome and kudos to the designer, especially using floorboards as a backdrop, except for one thing that bugged me:
The guitar.
...
Someone had to say it...

Not odd... completely understandable... it also means that they're kinda loving what we did and would like to have even more... great to know for a developer.tadam wrote:However i can relate to A3ntar request. Fx ordering has great importance on the signal chain. I'm very pleased to what TH1 delivers, nevertheless i don't find it odd to people ask for more.
In this case i wouldn't go has far as asking for plug support but allowing some kind of cabinet IR in the proper place would give TH1 more interest.
One thing though... I talked about VST hosting which will not likely happen (or anythime soon), but haven't stated anything regarding IRs...

Simone i hope in a future support on external ir module..!
imho indispensable tool for amazing tone.
actually there is no comparison for a good emulation + ext library irs as recabinet or good mix of impulses.
Actually with (for example) recabinet irs , i obtain micidial sounds

mmm... the only difference with a custom IR module is that you'll load your 'own' IRs... most amp modelers are IR based these days for the cabinets... AFAIK

yes, and all are sad, as impulses... they are not sufficient good ir.. to my ears.
The studios aren't usual to relase their professional impulses
But recabinet is a first good signal..
I take recabinet for example only because i have bought it post demo try.
The demo is 5% of total potential
This is my thinking, but i have to say that this combination is the most realistic. Over all

I am taking it personal... most of the IRs in TH1 was recorded by myself... but getting an IR for TH1 is not getting THE IR with a said mic and said position... as you know TH1 has to position mics in any place and with any mic choice.Niksounds wrote:yes, and all are sad, as impulses... they are not sufficient good ir.. to my ears.

i see a resistance .. =) a resistor of 20.000mohm 22w
The cause is that probably with ext irs, the user is not able to use the good function of "free positioning", ok.
but i hope =)
i'm not saying YOURS irs are sad.. i have made a post in them i speak of good th1... if you read another my post on "amp sims opinion ".
"irs are sad" is referred to ampsims in general !!!! damn it
The direction is that in this world, can be in another place a recording man guru, that makes micidial ir one day.. and if i'm user of XXX ampsim, i want use the new irs.
witohut polemic.
Sorry if you intend my think to personal, this isn't my intention.
Bye Nik

no resistance at all... but I can't comment on TH1 future (near or far)... the VST hosting thing was commented only because it's hardly being developed in the future... but IRs... one of our beta testers is very active in the field on another forum (guitarampmodeling.com)... so... got it?Niksounds wrote:i see a resistance .. =) a resistor of 20.000mohm 22w
Partly... but what the heck! those are different approaches...Niksounds wrote: The cause is that probably with ext irs, the user is not able to use the good function of "free positioning", ok.
It's ok... I was joking and just forgot to add some smilies...Niksounds wrote: i'm not saying YOURS irs are sad.. i have made a post in them i speak of good th1... if you read another my post on "amp sims opinion ".
nothing took personal... don't worry...
now you're giving me an idea... creating a set of my signature IRs... and sell it... after all, I am a sound designer first...

Recabinet is just a collection of impulses. Its not even a program..it does not simulate cabinet depth, drive, or other nuances of a real cab.Niksounds wrote:yes, and all are sad, as impulses... they are not sufficient good ir.. to my ears.

At east Th1 attempts to go the extra yard. Static Impulses may good for the death metal crowd who just use a distortion pedal sound layered 8 times but thats only because their is nothing distinct in their style. The tracks are all just mushed together.
