How you actually make it work in your host is up to you to find out. Remember that Eckel
sends MIDI note on and off's.
I dont understand it does absolutly nothing in XT.. I tried it outside of a sequencer with MIDI routed to it and from it to another sequencer and a MIDI monitor shows no MIDI output at all. Also tried it as a groove effect in eXT nothing, and as a VSTi effect nothing.. Please give a little bit more of an explination as to how it works...
Ditto :?

Does XT send vstTimeInfo?

It will only receive the time info from within the sequencer where MIDI out routing can go no further. In other words it can not be sent to an instrument.

I was however able to get it to work in eXT1.41 by using the eXT VST in the sequencer trick.

This might be strange request but, could there possibly be a way to send standard MIDI notes to it and generate a pattern from them? Perhaps a small set of 8 notes?

Great to see that it worked out. I dont really understand your request thought, could you perhaps specify it a bit further. What would you like to accomplish with that feature?

As a workaround to all the hosts that do not send the vstTimeInfo, perhaps it would work out if MIDI notes could be sent to the effect. Once it receives the 1st note it (the 1st note) could trigger the effect's clock to begin.

Is this a clarification of your earlier request?

But yes if you could get it to work with non timeinfo hosts that way. There are 2 reasons against this.
1 Imagine the questions that would raise.
2 The hosts should really do this and by supplying a workaround there will be less preassure for them to do it right.

Will this get some minor improvements? Like changing the midi-output-channel, assiging cc's to its parameters?

Anyway, thanks a lot again, it's fantastic! Guess you have a donate button?!

yes, done.
Thanx for the donation!
