I'm looking for Vibraphone TS by CustoMade, I accidently deleted it whilst clearing out my vsti folder. I forgot I had an unfinished live set I used it for and need it to finish it off. It had the perfect authentic vibraphone sound.
Anyone know what happened to CustoMade stuff anyways?

Hmm... But it's now abandonware, is it not? I mean it was free to begin with and now there's no place to get it. Does that mean that legally it just has to die now?

Tang...
I agree with you, if it was FREE to begin with what harm is caused? I could understand if it was causing anybody to lose something but in this case, who loses?

People who own copyright lose.
If copyright can be violated at anyone's choice, then it becomes meaningless and hence worthless. All your intellectual property turns to dust.
If you want truly free, use a Creative Commons license or a GPL-style one.

in this particular case, how can the person who owns the copyright lose?
im sure if you contacted the developer he/she would be happy for it to be useful to as many people as possible.
Also it would not be distributed on the net.merely threw it..its not going to be distributed on a site is it,its going to be sent from one person who has it on his computer to another person who doesn't have it..

Because it's his property and it's up to him to decide what he will do with it. You don't know if he's developing it further for future sale or plans to sell the copyright to someone else. Just because it doesn't seem to be available anymore, doesn't mean you can share it.pljones wrote: in this particular case, how can the person who owns the copyright lose?

If he bought it in the first place there should be no issue resending the dll pronto provide he's got a receipt for the purchase. If the plugin was free from the start then the first free version should be linked to in the free bems topic provided it is ok with the author ofcourse. And that is as soon as ever posible.

I think it used to be free, together with some other plugs, think there was also a guitar and a piano one. Then they decided to bundle them on a CD which you get when you signed up for a payed subscription to plugindex.de
