We go back to our roots, offering very fine instruments at very reasonable prices. Yes, we also got back to offering all(!) products with a simple serial copy protection scheme, no dongle, no c/r, just enter the serial and you are done.

All customers who got a Activation Code from us will get a replacement serial automatically for the new version of SaxLab and RMV soon.

8) In honour of this blessed event, I will ceremonially burn my dongle (quiet in the back). Obviously, after I've got my serial.

Thank you, LinPlug!

I bought SaxLab2 last week, even though I expected to have to get a dongle. I haven't done that for any of my software because I hate the concept of dongles. And, I need copies of my software on the home machine and the laptop, which I use for live gigging.

As I was about to order, I sent you a message about the use of the dongle, and you kindly told me about this new change. That made me even more happy to buy SaxLab2, and it gives me great confidence in your support and the attitude of your company towards its customers.

SaxLab is great. I'm still working it into my system. Thank you for the peace of mind that I won't get stuck high and dry at a gig with no dongle in case I need to do a quick reinstall.

Although I have never had any problems with syncrosoft yet, this might still be a potential-future-hassle-preventing step. I hope linplug hasn't lost much money on this trip, and gets more than enough new customers to make up for any losses. Cheers, V.

And, just to add, might be a smart move also because of the acquisition by Steinberg ( News), because the latter is not exactly well-known for overwhelming user support ...

huzzah, now let's all buy rmv to reward the guys for this move :)

Post

I'm very glad to hear this. To be honest I expected it to happen someday, but not so soon. Now I'm in the boat with RMV again once the Mac version is out.

Post

This sounds good! I just bought RMV today and received an email with links, including one for synchrosoft..
I already have a dongle attached and functioning for Cubase SE but does anyone have comments about whether I should just wait to install instead of going through the syncrosoft routine and then not needing it in the near future? ie how tedious is the synchrosoft procedure etc?
Thanks

I just sent in my RMIV serial number so hopefully I'll be buying the RMV upgrade before the day is over. Well done gentlemen!

Indeed, I'll be doing the same when I get paid at the end of the month :D

Wow, the change in your copy protection now allows me to seriously consider buying some things. That's pretty exciting news really, I wanted the RM V but there was no way I was going to buy it because of the copy protection...

HI

Well I will be upgrading as soon as my support request for RM4 > RM5 is returned.

I initially stated I would no longer support the company as I couldn't see myself ever using a dongle or a Syncrosoft licence app again - I remember similar comments being responded to as holding the company to ransom!

I only ever considered it as customer feedback in responsee to the initial 'feeler' put out by the company for comment.

Amyway, I do hope that it turns out to be a worthwhile move for all concerned.

Thanks.

Flipper.
