hey pljones, your map is nice, i'm using it right now with some midi file, thanks 4 sharing, the only problem is if you don't press g#1 or a#1 kick, snare, tom don't play at all... you wanted to do this? maybe it would be better to have just 1 key that switches from snare on to snare off, but it seems it's not possible (maybe for my lack of knowledge of sfz format)

btw it looks like i'm totally unlucky with web hosting...
but this time it's not my fault it seems like thei server is down :smack:

let's try this one http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8JW9OI1I

I tried it ant it works, just ask to wait 45 sec, maybe you can host this on your site too, if you like it...

Cool! These links are working! Thanks for sharing!

Greg, gotta say thanks again! There's some absolutely great samples in this kit! The xstick snare IMO is fantastic.

Now I need to find a sort of GM compatible mapping for Battery... (which should then as well load in Kontakt).

Cheers

Thanks!! Yeah, I'm pleased with this little kit, since it really captures that jazz kit sound.

Brushes would be nice though. I'll have to post a sample of what the brushes sound like on this kit.

Brushes would make this Jazz Kit complete! I've been playing around with this over the past day or so and this kit sounds awesome!!

Would there be any chance of a brushes version?

Combine the Pettinhouse kit with it and you should be good to go.

Hi pljones. I've just been trying your mappings and am getting a digital clipping noise on the toms!?

Any ideas as to why or what I'm doing wrong?

Yeah, that's why the other mapping is there, so you can switch kits by remapping your trigger (my TrapKAT can switch kits by hitting a pad, so I could easily switch between the two kits). I don't seem to be able to get a "default" working on the switched kit... (It's for playing live rather than sequencing, anyway -- sequenced won't "know" about snares on/off anyway...)

Right!

And I did get to play the kit too, in the end. It's got a lot of ambience but does sound very nice! :D

Any thoughts on the clicking noise on the toms?

Yeah the demo sounds nice.
I'm hoping frollo9386 or pljones will get a chance to do SFZ mappings of these.

Hi Boys and Girls,
I'm a bit confused about your mapping. I'm using Kontakt and someone mentioned that you can control different levels of hi-Hat opennesss with #cc4. Has it already been mapped or do I have to assign it?
Thanks for your help
best regards

The mapping PDF is included in the original distribution file, and it doesn't use #cc4 to control the hihat openness, but rather has separate keys for each level of openness. It should be fairly straightforward to make a version that uses #cc4 to control this, though (but let me know if you need help).

Thanks greg, looking forward to testing these out on a new track that's begging for just this sound :)
