This is REALLY good.
I spent some time A/Bing with every other sim I had...
The high gain is nice... in a 'hard rock' kind of way..
(maybe everything I play with high gain sounds 'hard rock')
...but surprisingly, pull the pregain way down and use a singlecoil in the neck... fantastic!
Between this and Boogex with a decent impulse... It's amazing that this is possible! (and people thought the Pod was amazing)

Just downloaded it & AB'd with Voxengo in a project I'm working on. Sounded good, similar to Voxengo, actually, tho the latter's interface is way cooler looking. Only thing is, CPU meter went from mid-30's to high 50's. Kinda big withdrawl from my processing bank account.

as a bit of an amp nerd will it be from the 5150+ or regular 5051 (MK II hopefully) not that either is lacking in gain cascadesNickCrow wrote:My next free amp plugin - 5150 Lead channel emulation.
Anyway Nick i am looking forward to it and thanks for the others

Hey guys here's a Cannibal Corpse cover I did using nick crows amp sim: http://www.mediafire.com/?wztdtumnyme
I must say it really helped me nail that gravely death metal tone I've been searching for. Really looking forwards to the 5150 sim! Thanks man!

Great! Nick, your sims blow away the commercial competition. I've tried the demos of the big commercial sims, but they just don't have the high-gain tone that your plugins have. Again, thank you for the best high-gain amp sims available.NickCrow wrote:5150 will soon be ready
Edit: Nick, do you have a site for paypal donations?
If you solo an instrument in the mix and it sounds good... the mix is bad. :}

Now unfortunately I can not allow sufficient time to complete 5150, as now accounts for a lot of work on the main place of work.
Miracles do not happen.

ditto, patience is a virtue and if it sounds as chunky as a 5150 then it sure will be worth the wait. Im a Marshall man personally but a 5150 and a Marshall JCM2000 DSL sound mighty fine together (well that is what me and a friend use in our setup) and a killer combination for our thrash mettling's
. We had a Krank Revolution 1 (Series One) for a while but it went as the 5150 f**king smoked it, Same with a Diezel Herbert and Bogner Uberschall. I got my beady eye on a JVM at the moment (the two channel job as i do not need four bleeding channels! LOL). I think we have a pair of Boogie's in mind if we did ever add to our rigs (sy would go for a single recto head and me the stilleto ace head but other than that nothing touches the Marshall and 5150 combination IMO for a twin axe attack)
*Alright i confess also really i want a VHT Pitbull Super Lead for use in a different setup but its not vital*
