I'm a bit confused about your mapping. I'm using Kontakt and someone mentioned that you can control different levels of hi-Hat opennesss with #cc4. Has it already been mapped or do I have to assign it?
Thanks for your help
best regards

The mapping PDF is included in the original distribution file, and it doesn't use #cc4 to control the hihat openness, but rather has separate keys for each level of openness. It should be fairly straightforward to make a version that uses #cc4 to control this, though (but let me know if you need help).
Hi Greg,
thanks very much for the ultraquick response (you never sleep, do you :) ?)
I'm currently at work and didn't recall the pdf-file to be included.
I'll check how to convert the hi-hats. I have a Korg PadKontrol where you can apply #cc4 to the trackpad. This makes the hi-hats fun to play. The other way would be to programm a pedal to #cc4 which would do the job as well.
I'll see if I find the time to reprogramm the hi-hats.
Thanks again for providing this cool drumset. Keep on the good work

See, I've seen you asking for several SFZ drum mappings in several threads by now already. Which is ok.
But why don't you just map them out yourself for once? It's not that tough and doesn't even need to cost you anything, since there's the now free Shortcircuit.
Also, as said in some threads before, since you seem to be interested in drum sounds, why don't you just purchase a proper drum sampler?

There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

You should be able to import either of my SFZ mapping into Kontakt... although some of my SFZ mappings have been known to cause K2 to crash... :? That should get you the CC#4 control.

Nope! But that can be our little secret...

There should be two PDFs included (actually three, if you count that default license PDF I included)--one with the mapping info, and one with a detailed description of the drums sampled. Let me know if you don't have them and I will send them to you.

Just have to add my gratitude for this great kit. I'm on dial-up, so no-one could call me for about seven hours while i d'loaded it, but there was no way I was missing out. Thanks Greg.

Hi Sascha. I would have a go at mapping these but I don't have a clue as to what to do!
At the moment I don't have any budget to buy a drum sampler and if I did I would buy Superior 2.0 or the Nashville EZX instead of something like Battery.
Sorry if I've been nuisance.

Having listened to a recording of my jamming with the kit, I've now updated my mappings to use round and random robin.

Cool! Thanks for these! I'll try these out soon.

Did you experience any digital click on the toms at certain velocities?

Post

Nothing I noticed whilst jamming or producing the maps -- and I certainly played every sample plenty of times. Not very loudly, though (I value my ears), so if it wasn't a loud click near the start of the sample, I might have missed it. Can you be more specific?

I'll put up some mp3 demos of what I mean tomorrow.

Thanks for putting these mappings together!

I mean, can you isolate the sample(s)? If it's not possible to hear the clicks in the samples, it could be that there's some other problem.

One other thought -- if this is with SFZ, then there are two versions of SFZ 1.97: one has multi-core support, the other doesn't. SFZ 1.97 was originally released around 8-Oct-2004 (667,648 bytes), with the multi-core update around 15-Aug-2006 (671,744 bytes). If you don't have the update, that could be the source of the clicking.

I had that prob too (it occurs with multithread processors, as well as multi core,) but i can't for the life of me recall where i eventually tracked it down, took quite a bit of googling.

I'm fairly certain I have the newer multi processor version of SFZ. I'll double check this!
