I think these are 2 different animals. Alchemy seems way more on the next-generation synthesis side of things (I'm a resynthesis buff so beware ;^>) whereas the basic coolness of Omni seems more based in the sample+filter-N-envelope approach-N-processing end. Both good products I think but pretty different in the directions. Guess I have to dig into Omni more to sort out it's more esoteric methods. It mentions FM, granular, etc... But in terms of "cool" I'd give the nod to the Camels :^)

I want them both, and I want them now, and I can't afford either.
One thing is for certain. When I CAN get either one, my dick will finally get less beating.
What?
What did I say?

I'm thinking that Iris v2 can be an adquate replacement for Alchemy on Windows, outside Logic

I don't miss Alchemy since i have Omnisphere2.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
