OK, let's hear your blasphemies:

I'll start:

1) I like digital synths (hardware) much more than analog synths, and think saw/square/triangle/sine/what have you waves sound pretty much the same, regardless of the analog synth that generated them.

2) I sometimes groove to Wham's Wake Me Up Before You Go Go. **** Cough! **** And Limahl's Neverending Story is actually quite good (sometimes)..

3) I truly cannot stand Squarepusher, Autechre and Aphex Twin.

4) I think the combination of a 303 and an 808/909 is utterly boring and unimaginative...

I secretly yearn to use the exact same gear as you because noone could possible make any music at all with anything different.

1) I have never even heard OF Squarepusher or Autrechre, let alone anything BY them.

2) I quite like Kelly Clarkson and McFly

3) I tend to think you get what you pay for and most cheap/free synths sound like shit

Are you asking for a contest? Lets all make tracks using just a 303 and 808 and see what we get?

my confession would be that I would lose the contest because it takes me about 8 months to finish a track that isnt just spacenoises and feedback.

I knew it! I wondered how long this thread would take to migrate over here. It's a great thread, but I already answered at GS, so I will just observe for now.
