Damn, I was hoping it was meant to be Jazzy's Poon without spaces or punctuation.

I instantly like you for saying that. I feel much the same, but worldwide. Everyone's just doing their best. I actually have trouble hating anybody at all, because i have trouble believeing in the concept of evil :P

I like that better. That'll be next years confession. :hihi:

I do this, too!

I have a strong desire to market a set of sampled farts.
Complete with scratch and sniff cd cover. I just don't know how many diverse samples I can get out of flatulence.

I always feel my appreciation of music is really shallow. I don't appreciate things on the levels I know others do (or do they..? :)) I don't doubt I like the stuff I do, but I feel sometimes I'm missing something...

eg. that recent Phil Collins thread; someone posted a Brand X clip which, while not exactly my cup of tea, sounded funky enough. I think it was nuffink who ridiculed Collins drumming on it. So... I don't hear music like that, I hear funky drumming but have no idea what is 'real' or not. Same with a lot of souls, blues and, especially, jazz. Something has to really stick out or have some 'novelty' value for me to pick up on it. I'm much more inclined to buy a CD of weird/inappropriate cover versions (y'now, altrock bands playing the Carpenters or something) than something more 'worthy'...

Bad attention span? Jealous of people who can compare and contrast Coltrane bootlegs? Little kid and the emperors new clothes? ;)

What's that old adage? Oh, yes: You only douche the ones you love.

* I forced myself for four nights in a row to watch/listen to Wagner's Ring Cycle as performed by the Metropolitan Opera Company...I finally broke in the middle of the fourth night. I snapped. I started shouting and cussing and had to switch it off. I simply didn't have what it takes to suffer through it all.

* I've purchased many Stockhausen CDs trying to figure him out. Aside from his very early electronic tape music works, I've concluded Stockhausen should be read and not heard. His writings on musical philosophy are very interesting but when he translates them into music...usually not.

* I lost all respect for Peter Baumann when I heard Yanni's first LP. Baumann, former Tangerine Dream hero of mine, was the one who signed Yanni.

* I become less and less impressed with technical ability the older I get. Whereas I'd like to be able to play keyboards more proficiently, technical ability seems most often employed to the self-engrandizement of the performer, rather than the tasteful realization of musical composition.

* Anyone who can actually earn a living off music in any way gets kudos from me...but I still think orchestra musicians are mostly no differnt than session rock/jazz musicians: on hire to any customer, like taxis. Same goes for recording engineers and others involved in music production. And I don't envy any of them. The only thing worse than wasting your talent on other people's music that you most often won't care for, is...I guess sitting here in an office wasting it on something other than music at all!

I like to play the harmonica when taking a dump
I'd probably play the keyboard too if I could fit it into the bathroom.

So Mr Couey kidnaps the neighbors 9 year old daughter, tortures and rapes her, then
kills the evidence by burying her alive one night, right in the families neighborhood. The cops come around saying 'Have you seen this kid?'
and Couey of course denies everything. Thankfully, he is now in jail, before another child was given the same agonizing and terrifying death. Does that clarify your concept of evil?
