this thing's great fun :D
Confirmed, this thing is great fun, it will be fixed in version 5.0.4 ...

Sorry, bad joke ...I just work on that sample browser issue, I'm pretty confident that THIS is fixed in version 5.0.4.

Not sure why this happens, I just checked and we supply the Trackname in the MIDI file, maybe its just ignored by Cubase. In Live it works as it should.

If you have some detailled instruction how to get into trouble with the loops import i'm happy to look into this as well.

Can you get me a screenshot of this, it seems all ok to me, maybe when I see it ...

Hmm, these work great here ...no idea, also the other presets problems you reported. Have you updated the library to 502 ? It has not been recommended as we actually fixed a different minor issue, but maybe it makes a difference.

Problems with Loop-"Stop/Play" within Cubase?

Hi,

I have a question about using MIDI-triggered loops provided by RMV (PC 5.0.3) within Cubase (4.5.2):

After selecting a loop inside RMV, I managed to "Drag" the MIDI data into Cubase and am able to trigger the RMV loop playback through this MIDI data. But whenever I press "stop" in Cubase or reload the project and press play in Cubase again, RMV is starting the auto-playback of all loops even when they're no RMV MIDI patterns to be played. It seems like the "autoplayback stop" state is not stored in RMV, or the loop autoplay is wrongly re-triggered everytime when the host software is starting playback.

Can anyone confirm this?

If so, am I doing something wrong or is this some kind of bug? In Cubase or RMV?

Thanks, tesla

Enhancement request: Changing all pads outputs in a loop at once

Hi,

a little question: When I want to assign all pad outputs of for example "loop 2" to the output "S02": Do have to do this for all individual pads of "loop 2" seperately, or is there a shortcut?

If there isn't already a shortcut, I'd highly appreciate an enhancement like that.

Thanks, tesla

Please use the "Edit All" feature (not descibed in the manual yet), click Edit All and use right mouse button the change output in any slice, all others have the same output then, unselect Edit All, continue having fun ...

I check your other report

Post

I have posted a screenshot for one of the problems I'm seeing in loop pads:

http://www.errepici.it/public/Test/RMV_Loop1_Visual.jpg
http://www.errepici.it/public/Test/RMV_Loop2_Visual.jpg
http://www.errepici.it/public/Test/RMV_Loop3_Visual.jpg

The first image shows loop pad 1; this pad does not produce any sound and indeed does not have a loop loaded, but it shows a waveform. Probably this is a remnant of a preview I did with it selected.

Loop pads 2 and 3 have loops loaded and work correctly soundwise and visualwise, but they have a problem too: they show in the main waveform a different active slice than the slice view underneath; clicking on a slice in the slice panel resyncs them.

Even though I see 5.02 reported in the setup panel, I'm sure it is 5.03 since it works without Syncrosoft software (nor key) installed at all.

Its not possible :-(
oh no! I'm surprised this wasn't considered as part of the feature set - is there a reason for not including this feature?

this seems to have been missed by you Peter:
Cinningbao wrote:I use Plogue quite often and it uses the VST ids to determine the available plugins.

RMV gave me the error it is using a duplicate VST id of 737d. Is this the same VST id as RMIV? If so, is it possible to change it something new?

Actually the round robin is quite done, it just not made it into the release. However, I have no idea when well finish it, could be soon, could be later.

I checked the Id, indeed its double. However, we've kept that from RMIII. Despite the fact that one really shouldnt do this, we never had any problem report, so I guess in fact its no issue. I rather would expect it to maybe an issue if we change it now, as I'm not sure how existing projects would or would not load then, so we'll stick with the not unique "unique id".

Nice, looking forward to that.

This is surprising to me - Plogue Bidule has only ever used the VSTids to determine available plugins, and while no other VST/AU hosts use the VSTids exclusively (that I use or know of), the change of the VSTid from productV1 to product v2 seems to be second nature to all other plugin developers. I would you to consider this an issue as it currently means I cannot use RMV in Plogue without uninstalling RMIV which, while we are still finding bugs in RMV, seems quite valid.

However, I'm glad to hear that round-robin is in the works, despite not making it into this release.
