i think he's using Live now, but who knows...
i was talking about the, Faxing berlin, Not Exactly type bass... i would be more interested how he does his plucked sounds that gives the flavour to the songs.which song are you talking about?

I'm pretty sure that square wave bass was made on his Nord Lead 3. He also used some vengeance samples as well. I was also able to replicate the upward note scale synth heard later on in the song on Arturia Minimoog.

The main synth sound in Faxing Berlin, and a few of his other songs is called Strobe by FXpansion, coming out soon as part of the D-CAM: Synth Squad, check the latest Future Music for more details. He also uses Cypher which is in the same pack, and loads of analog hardware and other vsts.dannyqt18 wrote:i think he's using Live now, but who knows...

Part of the sound is also a compressor sidechained off the kick / drums, this is coming out soon from Cytomic.
I'm trying to be factual in my statements, but please be aware that there is huge bias in my post since I wrote all the DSP for the synths and the compressor I'm talking about.
All the best,

I bet my left thumb that this won't happen. He's made a huge impact in the scene and he will be around for years to come.kmonkey wrote:Retarded song content, song structure, people will forgot him in two years or so but killer production yes...Some nice skills

Hope you didn't spend too long figuring that out. I just read that in the remixmag article. I think a link was posted earlier.maxm wrote:I think their kicks are in a league of their own and I spend embarrassingly much time trying to figure out how they are put together... I have noticed they usually leave pretty much headroom in the kick's sub. Which often is in the rootnote note of the tune, like 49 Hz for G. This leaves more options for the baseline so it can be really deep and strong on the kicks as well.
