oh, and anotherone:
can we please get back the normal system-mouse look? the yellow brick is a real no go ...
yet some other requests:
1. solo primitive (from within vertical list view)
2. delete unused (i.e. those that are marked invisible)
3. invert selection
4. if a new shape is loaded/created, it should be inserted at the selected position in the vertical list view, not at the end ... it's a pain to move up a shape that is used as an additional part of the background panel, if you have already 200 shapes created, and it's created at the end of the list view ...
5. embossing outside the shape, additional to inside ...
6. additional embossing for border ...
7. brightness just like in knobman ...
8. shadow inside should be sepreate, additional to the conventional shadowing outside ...
9. render visible only (respects only the size of the visible objects, background size is ignored)
10. render selected primitives (respects only the size of the rubberband that surrounds the selected primitives, background size is ignored)
i mean point 9+10 that way:
think of i made an led switch, but i made it in skinman.
it consists of 3 overlayed primitives. i'd like to be able to select these primitives, and render just those, so that i can use them in knobman ...
that way i render the 2 states (i.e. on/off) in skinman to 2 individual .png's,
then load them up in knobman, make the animation and render the png strip stitched ... understand?

hi,
still alive...
http://www.g200kg.com/en/software/skinman.html
ver 0.88
* newly created/pasted primitives are placed next to the current focus
* mouse cursor image revised
* primitive 'Solo' visible control supported
* mouse pointer coordinates display added
* 'Canvas'-'Triming' / 'Canvas'-'TrimingVisible' support
* 'File'-'Export' / 'File'-'Import' support
* copy/paste between multiple instances
Trimming/TrimmingVisible still has problem with Border or DropSshadow.

Tentative skin for my Bass Tightener effect:

g200kg, I can't thank you enough for your work. Every other attempt I've made at trying to create UI graphics has failed. But with using your programs I've made some headway, and I feel I have something usable. I'll be dropping by your site to make a donation soon.

aahhhhrggg ... please, g200kg, an option to be able to save consolidated projects ... if one made a skin using differently located graphics and knobs, one is not able to just save the skin and send it to the developer who has to implement it ... one has to find all images manually and send them with the skin file to the developer who implements the skin ... not to speak of, that even if done so, the file wouldn't be correctly opened at the developers house, as the files now have a different path ...
so i'd like to have a file menue entry called "consolidated project save as",
which, when choosen, asks if to move or copy all used graphics into an afterwards user-created location, changing the references of the graphic files/knob files to the new location ... so that in the end i can just grab that folder and send it to the developer ... he then just doubleclicks the skinman file within that folder, and skinman opens all files from within that folder/subfolders ...
furthermore, just for information issues, i'd like to have a properties tab for each primitive per rightclick, so that i can rightclick a graphic/image in the tree view, and i can see where it is on the hd, as well as file info's such as size, format, etc ...
please g200kg, give a short statement if that would be possible, it's soooo necessary ...
all others, please back me up with thatone, if you find it useful!

hello,
and just a hint to ease (you may already know): SkinMan will try to load image-files from same folder as .skin file if not found in the original image-file location. then, packing .skin and all images to one folder is the simplest way to send to other person.
(i know this is NOT the solution. just a hint to ease
)
properties isuue also need investigation. (but i think it is not so difficult).
saving soloed object:
not impossible (even if different from your expection): 'Menu'-'Canvas'-'Trimming Visible' will do trimming canvas to the size of the visible objects. next, ExportImage. if you need to recover the canvas size, 'Undo' (Ctrl-Z) will help you.
yes, i intend to do that in the future.brok landers wrote:aahhhhrggg ... please, g200kg, an option to be able to save consolidated projects

however, the consolidated saving and the file properties, what do you esthimate, how long do you need to implement this? i only ask because i think this should be _very_ high priority, i's just so much more professional then ... just my two cents ...
anyway, thanks again!

Sorry if this has been brought up before (I did do a search) but:
Are they any plans for switchable anti-aliasing by layer/primitive as in Knobman?
I'm having trouble getting legible text at smaller font sizes (even using bitmapped fonts that are ususally pin sharp at, say, 12pts.)
Thanks,
.g

Hi,
I think that the transparency when saving as .png is not working correctly.
Can anyone confirm this?
I make the same thing in KnobMan and Skinman but the Skinman one looks a lot brighter when saving as .png (with transparent background enabled).
Everything looks totally different in SkinMan and in Synthedit, even when i save with the same background colour. That doesn't happen with Knobman though.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Theo.

In SkinMan the lighthing creates a round glass effect while in SynthEdit everything looks flat and the glass looks more white. If you export as .png you will see..
It would be cool to have the same transparency settings as KnobMan.
Thanks again, your work is very appreciated!
Cheers,
Theo.
