About Wusikstation, did you try to contact William to see how much a "wusikengine" version of your set woould cost?? I mean, that way you could sell your product to users who don't have any high range sampler!

I have thought about that, but as you can see the prices are not really cheap. If i sell a library at 25€ and i have to spend 20 for the engine, this is not really good for my business and i really want to kepp selling affordable products even if the quality is high, i don't get the 500€ pianos out there. Plus, i see that the wusik engine is windows only, so for me it's about the same as the sfz sampler which is free and also since i use the sfz format, i'm on a mac so it would be hard to devellop my instruments only for windows.

I've thought about getting licences from a cross platform sampler engine maker, but the few i know are kontakt player (an it's too expensive, at least for me right now) or the ARIA engine develloped bu pluggo, i asked them some days ago and i did not get a response yet (it has been only two days, so i guess it's normal ).

Oh and i'm working on the sfz for the upright bass, i'll keep you updated!

And a lot of new instruments will be out soon, there will be a huge pleyel piano, a fender rhodes mk1, a slap bass, a muted bass, a multi mic recorded jazz drums, a percussion kit and some other ones... maybe a huge upright bass for example...

yup, I noticed the prices of the wusik player wich i a too important part of the final price. I just spoke about it because I m currently looking for sample banks, and I don't want to spend money on a hug sampler (kontakt is a monster, but I don't need so much features just for an instrument library), and I noticed that on the cheap banks (there are several on the net, yours are ones of those), I mostly need expensive samplers.
I currently own wusik v4, and I may update for sfz support if it's an access to more sfz libraries. btw, keep on rocking with your sampes, exemples sound great!

Why don't you use the sfz sampler which is free? I'm translating most of my sample libraries to sfz, but i had a problem lately, someone sat on my macbook pro and it's dead... So everything will be back in order soon, but i need time to adjust
I'm also talking right now with some people that could licence me their sampler engine, and it's multiplatform so it would be just fine for me.
I'll keep you updated.

hi i just bought the upright bass a little bit ago.. nice!
Cant use it on my laptop tho' (only kontakt on my main DAW)
but i was thinking, what about a multi preset for shortcircuit
its a cool sampler that is available for all (for free)
i started mapping it tonight, but got a bit lost (never done it before) and wasnt sure how to assign the velocity order to the samples.. i'm assuming that it doesnt handle the release samples too, not sure tho'.
might be worth thinking about tho, as it is a free and good sampler to be able to map your sample libraries to.

I downloaded the 'DrumTAste Free' set several days ago and thought it was excellent. I've been looking around for a really nicely recorded jazz drum set in a playable format for ages. Finally found it! Sounds very convincing, not synthy or over-processed like some I've tried. Enough velocity layers to satisfy!

I've just now bought the DrumysMJazz set on the strength of the free set.

One question; the 'round-robin' feature, that's in the sfz versions ? I converted the DTA free to SF2 format (with the demo version of 'Awave Studio'), this is so I could use it in Reason with the NNXT. Does anyone know if the SF2 format supports the 'round-robin' feature? And whether NN-XT does?

Oh, and +1 for a percussion set.

No, the SF2 does not support round robins, but the NN-XT does. I'm trying to do an NN-XT version of the drumtaste free.
About the perc set, it's coming, and for real this time

I imported my SF2 versions into NN-XT to do the same thing! Trying to add back in the round robin feature. Was going to send you the refill actually!

Do you have any luck with the ARIA licensing?(it's made my Plogue, btw)
Im really enjoying ARIA, their SFZ implementation is very nice, and the sampler itself is very lightweight.

Nope, the ARIA licencing is not available for anybody... it's Garritan property.

But if you own any Garritan product that runs with ARIA, you can load any sfz library which means a lot of our sample libraries.

Yep, i have tested it with lots of sfz and it really works nice. Maybe in a future...
