Stop me before I mangle some more!

This week's Aldebaran Polka is:

1) repetitious to the nth degree, and
2) about twice as long as it should be

:hihi:

Without further ado (drumroll please)...

Cydonia Boogie

1 x Circle
1 x Metaphysical Function
1 x Absynth
Drums

Done live in Kore- just a Guitar Rig tapedeck on the master.

As always, comments and/or your sister's phone number welcome :)

you could always join the "how much stuff can one stuff in one minute" crowd (me) and avoid all that repetition

I'd give you my sister's phone number but her Hawaiian husband might get a bit upset... and you really don't want to upset him! :hihi:

btw, nice sounds and stuff.
for entertaining porpoises only

The repetition's somewhat needed here though. The Circle sequence is in 9/4, but the wavetable sweeps are done with LFOs that aren't synced to tempo. This combined with the repetitive 4 bar 4/4 drum pattern not only gives you some nice polyrhythms, but the wavetable motion never being quite in sync with everything adds even more confusion.

The Circle sequence source channel has MFM2 on it as well; what a nice delay that is :)

I see the word Polka and am instinctively repelled, so sorry I missed this when you first posted it.
It's a calming electronic piece that has nothing to do with Polka, thank goodness.
Just a good backbeat to my mornings menial tasks. Simple, enjoyable listen. :)

I've tagged my mp3s as polka for a few years now. I was putting a bunch of my CDs into my mp3 library one day, and one of them was a Korn album- all the tunes on it were tagged as polka. A (very dim  ) light went on- "Ah- a good idea!"

Besides which, my profile at the NI forums says that Aldebaran polka's my genre of choice :)

Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment  :D
