Slick. Nice rolling groove. One day, I will try Abelton again someday soon, it just really wasn't a good work flow for me at the time I tried it a few years back. You seem to be getting some good use out of it.
The only crit I can come up with is that it seems to be less crisp (high end) than some of your other recordings. Can't tell if its the master or the mix or both, but thought I would give some feedback.
Still, very nice addition t your library.
Oh man, what a groove, I totally dig! Nice pluck action too. I agree with Jazzy the sound is warmer than normal for you, but not necessarily out of place here for me. The synth lead at the end could be hotter for my taste tho. Great stuff!
Thanks for the comments guys. I agree on the lack of high end. I thought about fixing that (i.e. taking some of the filter off the snare) but in the end I decided against it since I kind of liked the muffled sound of the mix.
I'm sure it would've come out totally different had I used FL Studio. I'm not so comfortable with Ableton yet but it's nice to see how it influences the way things turn out.
crispy!
Funky!
Nice baseline variations. Nice filter on the baseline with just enough high filtering through.
Cool stereo spread
Epiano is low - full and sits perfectly in the mix
Nice break with harp like sound - instant trance
Plenty of blips and blops moving left to right and back to keep me distracted
You just forget about the synthblip drone in the Mid section
Wow what is that gliding synth? Awesome.
As for the gliding synth, that's the ever lovely MiniMogueVA, creamy_01 lead if I'm not mistaken, slightly automated cutoff and pitch bend, and a touch of one of Kore's Deep Transformation effects on it
