Kontakt player opens fine in stand alone but when I want to choose it in my DAW it isn't there. Now I do have Kontakt 2 installed and of course it shows up and allows me to use it to play the files from the latest group buy. Does Kontakkt 2 overide Kontakt Player in this regard?? or am I missing something.

Which DAW host are you using?
Do you need to rescan your VSTs?
It might be under a different folder in your VSTi tree?
Can you drag the VSTi into your host from a Windows Explorer window?

I'm using Digital Performer (it's in my sig) and therefore AU's, but interesting point, I don't recall DP doing an AU scan after installation. I'll see if I can get it on a re-scan.

Here's a mystery, Kontakt Player is no where to be seen in my plug-in folder, must find out where it ended up.
