I think people may be understating the quality of this reverb when they say it is the best freeware reverb available. It's not just the best freeware. Epicverb is looking like it compares to the best offerings of commercial reverbs. I'm not willing to pass judgment on it too soon, because I want to really put it through the ropes and use it in a full mix, and I've been fooled before, but my initial impression is it might, in some respects, just might give Arts Acoustic, CSR, and Breverb a run for their money, although it is an entirely different flavor. Outstanding job Bootsie.

@bootsie:
I think I found a bug though it might not be very easy to hear:
There seems to be some kind of alias or zipper noise on the modulation circuit going on. It seems to be sample rate dependent. I can clearly hear it at 44.1 kHz and it's less perceivable at 96 kHz (but I don't ever use 96kHz, so...). The noise that adds to the reverbed sound can be heard running along the slow modulation LFO and sounds like a slightly distorted edgy saw wave or zipper noise. It's maybe not that obvious, use of headphones and a complete wet reverbed signal is necessary. The noise does not appear without modulation.
Though I'm not into programming at all could this be some kind of too less resolution for the LFO wave (>perceivable steps at low sampling rates) or something like that - maybe to use less cpu cycles?
Hope this is of help...
And a BIG BIG thanks for your effort in this so far free reverb!

Bootsie thank you once again!!! Amazing device for free
Slightly offtopic and i am not trying to break party because it is deserved but how can anyone compare this with ArtsAcoustic reverb or CSR with such naive comments
Totally different sound compared to each other, they compete well but epicverb simply can not reach flexibility of CSR or ArtsAcoustic. I am not saying epicverb is bad, it is really f***** AMAZING sounding reverb for free device but please...

I would definetly take this over CSR, can't speak for AA as its been so long sicnce I tried it. I'm very picky when it comes to reverbs and I think this one is very good, no problem with comparing it to payware at all

Well i dont have that problem either. IMHO it is silly to say epicverb is one trick pony. Ok no one said that but that is the picture you get when reading this thread.todd_r wrote: I would definetly take this over CSR, can't speak for AA as its been so long sicnce I tried it. Dont get me wrong please. This is really damn fine sounding plugin and when i think it is free it really blow my mind. Thank you again and again!!!
But when it come to mixing IMHO you will have plenty of more controls with CSR suite or ArtsAcoustic. More controls to fit your mixing situation etc. I am not control maniac but there are these fine things which simply help you in mixing and epicverb does not have them. That does not mean it is bad. It is (again) amazing!!
The great thing is that all three mentioned (or four if you count UAD plate) are all sounding different and very fine.
Different taste probably

Should not occur, everything runs at full audio rate. Could you just send me a short audio snippet for verification and .fxp or screenshot of the reverb settings? I can test then in my lab ...el-folie wrote:@bootsie:

I was a little bit tired of new reverbs for the last years, but this...
Big thanks for a great work !
P.S.: A vote for a small "Ignore Wet/Dry on loading presets" button
