I just thought I'd share a song this time for a change. It's the start of a new year, and we all have a lot to be thankful and hopeful for. Here's a song from an indie CD I made in 2007 which was released here last year.

Have a fresh start in 2009. :)

P.S. the link is at skydrive, it's the most direct hosting I can find at the moment. :)

Soft sweet and emotional - music for the ladies

I never listen to music like this but it sounds very very well produced

Did you play the guitarlicks yourself?

warm strings! which bank did you use for these?

Hehe, yeah they like it . But seriously thanks. I used a synth for the guitar. :) I love the strings on this one, wish I had a copy here It's a bank for NX-Synth. Couldn't remember which exact strings. I used Hypercanvas at first, and had it changed the last minute when I heard this bank from a friend.

Lovely song. Clean production.

Just stay away from my girlfriend OK
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

Blimey.

Absolutely not my cup of hemlock at all, but very well done indeed.

From my utterly piss poor knowledge of this kind of thing (i.e t'radio 2 etc) I would say that it is a trifle heavy on the old pitch correction (and I mean just a bit too much..it edges into 'cher effect' on a couple of occasions too nastily). Also, I would 'r'n'b the drums up a bit; it's mostly kick and quite a heavily reverbed side stick sound using one pattern for the most part? I wouldn't go overboard with massive rolls and shite but make the drums much more upfront in a sinthesiser sound (think evil Phil Collins if you must) and have a tad more variation?

Bravo though, excellent cheeee. (And I don't mean that in a disparaging way)

ah, I was using mozilla on a windows site - no bueno. Switched over to ie and it works fine.

Super (st)icky sweet RNB pop. It's well excecuted and the mix doesn't seem bad relative to what I know of this genre (ex GF infected my brain with this genre). This is very standard/formulaic rnb, but it doesn't sound like you were tryng to do anything ground breaking - just make a baby makin love song.

Best of luck.

the over tuning was intentional, i think. I use subtle pitch correction on a lot of my songs, as I am kind of OC, but I didn't mix this one, as with all of the songs in this CD. :) They wanted to have that 'cher' effect especially on certain parts. Maybe I should remix?
