-a bass program/sampler with elec/synth
-battery update that has all the midi stuff like BFD/TOON
-new audio controller (probably fw)
-new controller with motorized faders, and all that.
But it says guitarists........guitar rig 3 is pretty new.......so I'm not sure what that could mean.
Maybe a New daw is what they are talking about........

I might be coming across as jaded or whatever but...
Id like em to come out with something that makes me go 'WoW!' the way reaktor and absynth did - rather than something that makes me go 'HuH?'
I was interested/curious about Kore (and I bought it!) but man! I remember wanting Pro 52 so BAD when it came out first I was stunned software could do that!
Or you know -
Nite!

Just want R6 something more complicated to give me a bigger headache then I have already
I have many other NI products but since I cant skin them they aren't installed, now if I could skin them that you be different. But thats not the reason I don't have them installed. I have to say spark is pretty sweet I like it been the most interesting thing I've played wtih from them since I purchased Reaktor.
Just have to squeeze in one more synth before everything goes to 6.
ah, man they are going to have Jordan Rudess there. I hate being poor.

my guess is a bass dedicated plugin. it makes me wonder why they didn't still release a counterpart to Ampeg SVX.

I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Actually, if you want many of the sounds of Bandstand plus more in Kontakt format we just released this for our Kontakt Player called "Infinite Player". It's called OmniSoundz 2 which has some of the sounds we did for Bandstand plus a lot more. http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=2523mcq714 wrote:

I am more excited by this than the NAMM teaser.ew wrote:Some time this year, but not NAMMReaktor 6?

However, my predictions. DJ software can only really go so far, so I doubt it is where the "creativity-inspiring innovation" comes in. I have read that producers can expect a Kontakt update, which makes me a little sad (however, the Reaktor news over-compensates for this). So...Guitarists...maybe an NI guitar, kinda like the Line 6 toy. Or maybe a guitar pedal with it's own CPU, so you can edit effects and control assignations in software on your computer, then use the pedal standalone on stage without the computer.
PS. If these come out in the next two years from NI, I want at least one euro.
Conclusion: Reaktor = Good. NAMM = We'll see.

I'll be surprised if that ends up being one of the big revelations, but I think it would be kind of cool, if so. A solid, stable, straightforward DAW that has the kind of streamlined simplicity we saw in Mackie Tracktion (before things kind of went south with V3). And one that is designed from the ground up to be an efficient and rock-solid environment for working with softsynths (instead of a 20-year-old MIDI/audio sequencer with softsynth support tacked on later).i think (and hope Wink ) that NI will show their first own Sequencer/DAW based on KORE... makes sense i think!
a DAW by NI like this one must be innovative!
My current DAW works reasonably well most of the time, but there's so much feature bloat in it, all this extra stuff piled on to make a spec sheet look impressive that I don't need, without which it would probably run leaner and meaner and more problem-free. I really like NI's recent approaches to UI design, and it would be very interesting to see their take on a DAW.

Let me guess - Sonar 7 or 8? I started using Cakewalk when it first came out in DOS and watched it bloat over the years into the monstrosity it is today. I think I was a lot happier and productive when I wasn't fighting with trying to learn all of the bells and whistles and the myriad interactions that resulted. Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS) is the foundation of elegance to me.

remember that NI hired Holger (formerly of SonicBytes) to work on Kore. it is my hope that newer versions of Kore will begin to resemble his brilliant work on Phrazor.
