RMV cross licensing and copy protection query

Hi LinPlug team,

Thanks for providing the people with such great plugins!

I'm currently considering RMV and I have two questions.

*) Copy protection
I've heard about LinPlug employing Syncrosoft for RMV and that it has been removed later on. Is there some other kind of copy protection except serial number? Challenge/response?

*) Cross licensing
Will a single serial work on both Windows and Mac OS? I'm currently using a hybrid environment and this would be so great! Otherwise - do you provide some kind of crossgrade discount?


Anyhow - the stuff you guys do is really neat! Keep up the good work!

we _only_ use a serial number now, and it works both on PC and Mac and you are allowed to use it on any of your computers simultaneously. You are just not allowed to give or make available the serial to anyone else.

Thanks Peter for clarifying. Me - and other honest people - appreciate not having to plug in some kind of USB key (especially in a laptop!). Not having a challenge/response and perhaps tying a license to a specific computer is also great and future proof.

You got yourself another customer. Perhaps you should state on your web page that the license is for both platforms?
