SampleTank XL Instrument List?

Hi,
I renamed the folders in my STank isntrument folders & now all the Combis don't work. I was wondering if someone could take a screen grab of the what folders should be in the SampleTankInstruments folder? Cheers

Renaming folders should not mess up combis (at least it didn't here)

Have you done a complete Relist?

You can also look at your XL Sounds disks to see the original folders.

I just put all my downloaded sounds back into the STInstruments folder (I had taken a few out), did a complete relist, did a refresh combi list, but the default combis still won't load - Ie, the 1st one's called "3 D and 1 Stick.ikmp", the 2nd "Acoustic Layer.ikmp", etc. The Sonic Tank combis are loading, but the default SamplteTank ones aren't

I downloaded the folders from the gb & renamed them, so can't look at the original discs, altho if u renamed the folders & can still use the combis, then I shouldn't be having this problem. Also, I don't want to download the files again just to see the folder names.

Do you have your combi's in your IK presets folder??

I didn't realise that you had DLed the sounds and renamed the folders. When you say that the combis do not load what happens when you try to load one of them.

For info "3D and a Stick" contians 4 Instruments:
Chap Stick (in the Bass folder)
600 Series (in Drums Electronic)
Brush Dry (in Drums Acoustic)
900 Series 3 (in Drums Electronic)

Can you check that you've got all of these?

Here's where my files are for 3D and a Stick:-

Chap Stick = STInsts\!SSynth\C Guitar+Bass\C Bass
600 Series = Missing - I have Acoustic, Eclectic + Studio Drums, but no Electronic drums folder
Brush Dry = Missing - Not in my Drums Acoustic folder - it contains 162 files, & is 516MB
900 Series 3 = Missing

Looks like the download page at ESoundz didn't include all the files needed If I had a list, I could see what I'm missing. Looking at my eSoundz download page, it all looks messed up - Some SoundPacks have 4 different formats listed, others 3, others 2, & some only 1. I definitely don't have Electronic Drums listed.

Should I contact Allen & tell him to upload all the folders again? Is this the best solution?

Where is the XL set downloadable at esoundz? I thought the sounds upgrade was always only on disk and if you bought outright XL shipped. If you got a downloadable version from anywhere, typically the sounds are delivered in your IK Multimedia user area (I did this for one of them, Tron or Moog - can't remember). If you got the bonus material from esoundz then that wouldn't include these.

Looks like I was mistaken - I joined the Sonik Tank 2.5 Group Buy back in Nov/Dec '07 - Apparently that didn't come with all the XL sounds. So I can safely delete all the default combis that got installed with Sampletank as they are intended for XL owners only.

Ah ok. Got me excited - if that XL soundset goes on download I will blow the remaining epointz I have toward it.

I have a similar problem, although I seem to have all of the sounds I should. I have SampleTank 2L (not XL), and not all presets work.

For instance, "3D and a Stick" requires 4 Instruments:
Chap Stick (in the Bass folder)
600 Series (in Drums Electronic)
Brush Dry (in Drums Acoustic)
900 Series 3 (in Drums Electronic)

I have the first 3, but not 900 Series 3. My guess is that 900 Series 3 is in the XL set. Can anybody confirm that?

Well, yes it is in the XL set

I don't know of one, I guess you could go through them all and organise the combis into two folders - "OK in ST2L" and "needs XL" for the moment. I would back up the original organisation first too so you can reinstate it when you upgrade XL.
