It could be a computer modeled audio interface. IK's new audio interface simulator gives you the sound of all the best audio interfaces. I'm going to have to consult my lexicon for all those words that Squids keeps using.

It would have to come with a Discombulator so that you could undo the combobulation. A Combobulation Reverb might be good as well!studiosonic wrote:Could it be the fabled IK Combobulator?

You don't have to. That USB output says it all. Add the 1/4 jacks and the meters and you've got an audio interface.Squids wrote:Sneaky Sickle!Sickle wrote:Its an audio interface, duh. Show the pic with the input, Dave.
It has an input or is it an output? Hmmm. I didn't say it had an audio interface.
So I guessed it right, that means I won one, yeah?
Do you still have my address on file, or should I PM you real quick?

MIDI controller with onboard sounds? Would account for USB and 1/4" jacks. Still think more of a guitar thang though. That might be a bit boring unless it was something unique. Strange that the LEDs have green in the middle with red and amber on either side. Wouldn't a meter typically go from green-->amber-->red to indicate different levels especially when there are only three?
I like the idea of something to process vocals, though don't know if I'd run out and buy that.
Note that, though IMO not as "sexy", they are blowing out ARC right now so maybe at least something they are announcing is along those lines?

A usb controlled wah type pedal with all the wahs, filters, flangers, phasers in the world modeled. No one would ever want to buy another filter plugin if they had this thing and IK would finally have a monopoly in something. At least this is what those effected demo sounds in the teaser suggest.

Or a USB vintage spring reverb controller complete with a box you can actually kick or shake. Maybe they actually answered the guitar players request for a decent spring reverb.

Maybe IK multimedia think that THEY are one of the worlds most influential sounds.
