Right now, a very long time after the initial XT2 release, I'm still using XT 1.4. The reason is because it is virtually impossible using XT2 in orchestral/classical music without a fully functional tempo-envelope.
Anyhow, it doesn't seem to be high on the priority list.

I would like to be able to recall projects by sending a midi CC value. Alternatively, I would like to be able to load files remotely. What I am trying to do is use energyXY as a VST Host, and I want to save/load different configurations as 'snapshots' of a state.
Currently, the 'Recent Projects' menu provides what I am looking for by quickly loading a project, but I see no way to control this remotely.
Thanks,
JR

Some features that will be very appreciated:
- Possibility to record VSTi output on audio track, i don't understand why when choosing VSTi as input on audio track, nothing is recorded.
- Possibility to choose if send is pre or post-fader.
- Rewire integration, with possibility to record slave in audio tracks.
- A vertical zoom slider.
- A pitch control lane in drum sampler like vol, pan, cutoff.
- A move to next transient cursor option.
- A good signal DB or RMS meter on each track ( just some log numbers ).
- An option to open audio clips with external editor.
That's all... for the moment

Just one thing would really make me happy for the beginning: The import of omf or opentl.
...and, as said before, a better integration of Hardware-Midi-Controller (as Behringer BCR/BFR)

Grrr
I really hope the forthcoming beta will improve this :
I have several plugins i either either upgraded, renamed, or switched from demo to full version (so their name changed), and Ext2 can't find them anymore
It is rather stupid, as they still have the same plugin ID, only the name changed, but i can't do anything, the settings are not kept, and (most boring) Ext2 doesn't allow me to try to specify a replacement plugin.
PLEAAASE ! Make the "plugin selector" more intelligent !
"JB_barricade_demo" and "JB_barricade_full" are the same plugin, "DKS Drums" and "D-Hammer" are the same plugin, "BCA DYnamics" and "Blue Cat Dynamics" are the same plugin, "Dr Device" and "AD Dr Device" are the same plugin, "Elephant 3" and "Elephant 3,2" are the same plugin, and so on !!!!

I vont,
MID5 - fully functional MIDI out component
I foolishly bought this software to feed external synths thinking all seqs have ext midi & clock, right? Wrong. Completely useless to me as it is.
I live and learn.

what might be useful: a more convenient program change. easier than doing it in the automation lane of the midi track. also: bank change.
something like special events in a track that stand out the other track data. I can imagine a separate automation lane or a vertical bar with tooltip indicators like "P" or "B" repectively; those are directly accessible from the sequencer view ... click on it, change it in obejct bar. problem here is that the object bar is context sensitive and might won't show the track's properties but the clip properties (where you can't change program).
maybe someone can elaborate this idea a bit more. also if you find this feature useful.
I can imagine it for live improvisation, where you either create new clips with a different program or for ex-/importing XTCs and quickly want to change the program to give it another flavour while your set is playing.

hi,
i think if a vst in the modular view is highlighted, it should also be highlighted in the sequencer view to find it faster!
if you are using a hell of a lot of vst's like me, it always means an extensive search for me to find its sequencer-track! especially if it's subordinated to a folder track!
so could you please include that little detail?
regards
ecton

While I remember.
Very simple thing - a save icon, perhaps just to the left of the controller map icon. One click saving is nice I think.
