Your music is really top quality, professional sounding & entertaining. Reminds me of Daft Punk, Justice & the likes. It is a bit repetitive but I'm hooked! I also liked your latest "The Day After", the drums are right there!!

I'm really surprise you are not signed to a proper label, I'm sure you would have a lot of success in the clubs.

Out of curiosity, do you use samples libraries to make your music, sample old records or no samples at all?

Post

Thanks! I'm not really trying to get my music signed or anything at the moment. I tried it so many times and it always turned out to be a disappointment in the end. So i'm now just making music and not bothering all record label stuff.

Sometimes for kick or snare i might get me a sample library sound but these are unrecognizable in the final mix. For the rest I don't use sample libraries because I want my sounds to be original.
I'm used to work with samples as I started on Protracker on an Amiga 500 ;-) ... and I still like the idea of working with samples. So I sample a lot! Really short snippets from a radio or whatever and make new music with it.
These snippets are very short like 0.5 sec... one-shot sounds. I never sample melodies or whole drumloops because that's not the way i want to work!!
Almost any sound i sample will be unrecognizable in the end :-)

Very nice work. Truly professional, great sounds. Very reminiscent of Daft Punk, but that's hardly a bad thing! :)

The best and only way

Sharp as ever sir! I quite like that razor you're shaving with

I see, you're truly creative & build your sounds from the ground up! Your sampling method reminds me of Akufen (if you know him, very good experimental/house music).

Is there more mp3s of your music to download? I know there was a music or mp3 page on your site but it's no more :( . I want to complete my collection. :D ;)

Sounds great, PJ! I didn't even know this was you when I heard it the first time. Right on par with your other stuff, smoothly mixed and an enjoyable listen from beginning to end. Great work. :)

Absolutely superb.

Drums could do with a bit of variety but that's the only very minor critisism.

The bass sounds a bit too full.. It kind of eats the space the melody lines could use.. Or then the vocoder has too much bass.. Perhaps a little of panning with pads/organs and keys..

Not that I don't like it! There's many sounds at the background I'd like to hear more!

+500 points for making me feel nostalgic (:

BTW, which sampler you use? I got some sampled stuff waiting but I never start using them.. Which is strange as I was at home with Noise/Sound/Protracker..

Very nice! I agree that the bass eats up a bit much space, but otherwise thoroughly enjoyable.

There's a great "French touch" in this song, which I really like... Thanks ,this tune cheered me up!
A guy with serious GAS and lots of unused VSTs. But if I someday need them...

Thanks!
I agree on the bass beeing a bit to laud... I will change it.
I've been listening this track for too long, I always loose the ability to hear what is wrong in the mix. ;-)

Lovely tune, I like the melodies and it has a nice relaxed feel about it.
