What do you run on the V-Machine

I currently have kept the original installed plugins onboard because they're fun to play, and the plugins I have installed myself aren't very big and don't take up a lot of space.
So far I have installed and played successfully with the Korg Wavestation Legacy Collection (original 2004 release) EVM Ultrasonique, uhe Zebra 2, Zebralette, ZebraCM (had to do the workaround for all of them to load any presets) Sonic Charge Synplant, MinimogueVA, ARP2600VA,Flutesynth, Taurus, Nearly Everything from HG Fortune works except WOF1_#2, Augur, String Theory, M-Theory Demo(buggy at times), Gallileo, Crystal, Camel Audio Camelspace, KTfx KT Granulator, Anstrolooper, Electronix 1 and XL x1.4, Etiquet 2, FX Jockey, Free Amp (almost as good as having NI Guitar Rig but not quite but it's free) there's more that aren't worth mentioning.
I'm not planning on using a lot of plugins but I am/was exploring what's possible and for inspiration. I did have a great spontaneous jam this past Friday night using Ultrasonique, Minmogue, Gallileo, and HG Fortune Wheel of Fortune #1. All were assigned to different midi channels. I just changed the channel on my controller when I wanted to play any given synth. It was fun enough to make me not return the V Machine, which was a difficult decision.
The only NI synth I could get to play inside the V was FM8 and it was the default sound with no parameter settings. I never could get it to load any presets.
I have tried everything that I have which includes many popular and not so popular VST and VSTi's. I've spent hours and days even writing vfx info files in vain trying to get things like FM8, Reaktor, Metaphysical Function, etc. I know that more development on how these types of plugins will work in the V Machine has to come but the geek in me wouldn't stop. I have stopped trying to write wizard files and it bothers me that I had to even consider doing so. I was hoping it would be easier, but I have faith that development will bring good things.
Big thank you's to the Sm Pro Audio people in Australia and Germany for their continued development and support. Looking forward to what's to come

i use the installed piano from sampletank. Zebra2, Organized Trio, Linplug free alpha.
all works fine.
i have problems with "freealpha keys edition" with preset-changeing and with LazySnake.
@J45 which workaround for Zebra2 do you mean? i only can create for every preset that i want to play a preset inside the vfx-software. is there another easier way?

Perhaps I shouldn't call it a workaround. I'm doing the same as you with the Zebra 2.mäxchen wrote:

Hi all,
One vsti that I found that was 'cpu intensive' in for its time but can be run very well on the v-machine is crystal

If you look at the .VFX file in a Preset of a BANK (open with WORD PAD as it will be formated better this way)mäxchen wrote:breakbeatmonster:
use the "pre installed" zebra2 version from the zebra website!
You can see a transpose function there, it is not in the GUI but in this info file, try it out.
The sun is going to shine in the morning, at least above the clouds.

THX! Works. Great. Yeah!mäxchen wrote:breakbeatmonster:

But there is just one Patch of the Zebra2-Patches visible on the V-Machine. How can I now skip thru the Zebra2-Patches on the V-Machine? Should I greate one V-Machine-Patch for each Zebra2-Patch or can I use the Patch-Buttons instead?

I'm looking for a good rex/rex2 player which can run on the "V". RMV of linplugin whould be great, but I can't get it to run.
just to have fun and play around with my korg nano pad, i found the freeware "grizzly" which can't play rex, but wav and it runs without any modifications...
