Hi soundpalace, soundpalace wrote:Hey guys, really cool program, is there a way to allow the keyboard commands to be sent to plugins? A lot of plugins allow you to use arrow keys to browse through presets .etc which is really handy.

Hello Brad, thanks so much for responding. I can replicate this behavior with Zebra2 (trying to use up/down arrow keys in preset pane) and Virus TI (trying to use the up/down arrow keys in preset tab).bradr wrote:Hi soundpalace, soundpalace wrote:Hey guys, really cool program, is there a way to allow the keyboard commands to be sent to plugins? Cantabile should forward keystrokes to plugins that have focus, so long as keyboard capture is not enabled. If there's a specific plugin you're having trouble with let me know and I'll take a look.
Brad
OK, I'll look into it.soundpalace wrote:Hello Brad, thanks so much for responding. I can replicate this behavior with Zebra2 (trying to use up/down arrow keys in preset pane) and Virus TI (trying to use the up/down arrow keys in preset tab).
Do you have Cantabile's output limiter turned on? (In options on the Audio Engine page). Also, I am noticing that cantabile produces some extremely nasty pops and clicks if the signal clips (even by just a bit). I never have noticed such issues in Cubase where I occassionally have moved into the red without noticing. Is there any way to make this better?
I've made a fix for this which resolves it in Zebra, haven't tested with Virus but should resolve it there too.soundpalace wrote:Hello Brad, thanks so much for responding. Thanks so much Brad, I'll double check the Zebra2 behavior in Cubase for you soon. Please let me know when the next build is out and I'll test it out for youbradr wrote:I've made a fix for this which resolves it in Zebra, haven't tested with Virus but should resolve it there too.soundpalace wrote:Hello Brad, thanks so much for responding. I noticed that with Zebra in the presets panel, the arrow keys only work on the right hand side list and not the left, anyone know if this is a Zebra issue? Same thing happens in at least one other host.
Also, this fix currently only works in the popup plugin editor - not the inplace editor where I have other keyboard related issues to resolve first.
Fix will be in the next build.
Great, thanks for letting me know (and for your kind words!)soundpalace wrote:Hey Brad, just wanted to let you know the limiter works perfectly!I haven't tested keyboard input with the Virus TI yet, I'll let you know how it goes. Wonderful little program, I'm using it to jam, produce sounds for the synths I use and try out new VSTis and VSTs, the GUI is fantastic!
