Well, that's a good idea for sure :hihi:

Anyway it does make me in some way curious what all of you do like about the STS-21 in contrary to the succeeding versions???
So please try to provide me with some info here.

thanks

Personally? I liked the simple GUI and features. I never digged that much into it to be honest, but it was a beast for itself.

Definitely liked the presets (used it in a soundtrack project once - only the STS-21, some low drums, voice over and FX). If I wouldn't be such a lazy bum and totally clueless in terms of synthesis, I'd surely do more with this thing other than changing some stuff in the presets, or hittng the random button.

The STS-21 can load "sf2's".

The STS-24i can load "wav" and/or "sf2" in the oscillator slots.

Protoplasm TSM also loads "sf2", but the STS-24i will allow alot more flexibility/experimentation than either it, or the STS-21.

I have (TMK) everything Guenter has ever made, and there are NO "wrong choices" as far as I'm concerned, so you can't really go-wrong...

It was always my favorite GUI of the HG synths and I loved the sounds.. ;)
I haven't tested the others too much so it wouldn't be fair to compare..

thanks for the reply..
i went to my other computer and found i had sts-24 free version already and it is probably my favorite of the three.. one problem tho, on some patches i get a slight click at the start of the note (which repeats annoyingly with the echo fx) the sort of click that is fairly soft but noticable and you know just shouldn't be there..
anyone else have this issue?

Perhaps I'm odd, but Swamp and Protoplasm have always been my Fortune favs.

Hi there!
STS-21 was the only one (?) with *Reverb* besides Delay FX.
