And 88 keys aren't quite enough, as a Bosendorfer 290 has 97 keys (which extend downwards giving 9 extra bass keys with some serious low end bang that an 88 key grand just can't deliver).
Native Instruments has the Akoustik Piano package that includes a Boesendorfer 290, Steinway D, Bechstein D 280, and a Steingraeber upright.

It can be had really cheaply these days, via bundles. I picked it up more or less by accident. I was after the Hammond B4 II, and bought the Classik Keys bundle.

It's a monster install, to be sure, but it sounds amazing.

a DSP outboard w/ classik studio reverbs or t-racks?
;)
A member of the imaginary Phil Elverum appreciation association.

It's a separate DSP box that will only run T-Racks 3, smoothly and glitch free, and will allow you to use a few instances, so you can actually mix with it.

I can see if maybe I can show a few more pics? I would have thought you guys would have known by now. Well, you will soon.

I'm with A3ntar, it's AmpliTube 2 powered hardware, probably not unlike the Line 6 Toneport.
Hey, what sound has been more influential in contemportary music than the guitar amp? Especially the entire cast of the who's who of guitar amps from the past 50 years?

Well... I did say there was more than one product. ;) Actually you guys are good guessers. Better than some of you may think but I had to make it a little mysterious so this thread would be fun. All will be revealed tomorrow but maybe sooner I would imagine. I walk the line... just up to it without getting yelled at for crossing it. So I have some pics just waiting for permission to show.

I still think It's a virtual instrument. I think a super Piano and a monstrous Hammond B3/C3 will compliment Guitar and Bass(AmpliTube 2,Ampeg® SVX, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™, AmpliTube Metal); Keyboards/Drums ( SampleTank 2.5 XL, Sonic Synth 2, Miroslav Philharmonik, SampleMoog™, SampleTron) and FAQ with ( Classic Studio Reverb, T-Rack3, ARC System).

Piano and Organ will finish the total collection and make IK a total complete package in a box. It seems the logical thing to do as a company. I guess will find out tomorrow. I would love a great B3 to interface with SampleTank :D

Yeah a B3 with virtual knives to stick in it a la Emerson.

Post

I'm hoping for a hardware ARC in a rack-mount.

I was definitely thinking that perhaps it is a dedicated virtual bass instrument with a possible focus on Rickenbacker basses and maybe Fenders and others.

Can't wait to see those pics...
Somewhere in the background zedd
