But my guesses/hopes would be :
Battery 4 with/drum synth and step sequencer ...filed under hope
I just keep waiting and waiting for such a dream drum sampler/synth with sequencer (No Ultrabeat) to come to fruition.
But developers just continue to f**k it up.

Synthaxe would be to much to hope from NI I think, but some audio interface with a 13 pin input and a good plugin that would process the per string input signal and be able to make new and amazing sounds (a la Roland VG, or better more advanced) would be really innovative.buscemi wrote:SynthAxe IIkrraqk wrote:New guitar product and Adrian Belew in the show together, hmm...
... a guitar synth product from NI would be awesome!Edit, wait he may have been one of the few around that WASN'T using one of those. Oops!
Anyway has been said that the new guitar product its not GR4 and A. Belew is one of the most proficient guitar synth and guitar technology promoters, rigth? So maybe there is something interesting...

For Guitarists:
We had GR3, then 3.1, now 3.2, and several "light" versions... so maybe... I dunno... a guitar?
For DJs:
To gain more clients, they will unveil a new upgrade plan that is more elaborate. This time, it will have more than 100 possible paths, and they will outsource their call center to IBM.
For producers:
If it is not Reaktor 6, probably not a new synth, I would think that with Kontakt 3.5 on the way, it won't be Kontakt 4, and I don't think it would make sense for NI to release a DAW (though that would be COOL!)... I would go for something along the lines of Kore 3.
... Aaahhh. Who am I kidding, I already know the answer!

I repeat. They just continue to f**k it up.
Thanks NI.

Guitar-wise, maybe something that simulates 6 guitar strings on a fretboard, pickups, bridge interaction, articulations, slides, bends, vibrato, hammer-ons, pull-offs, etc etc, and of course the requisite simulation of 4 thicker strings (+ 1 extra thick string for the extra low B) for the bass.
That would do a heck of a lot more than just about anything NI could ever release.
Will they do this? It's definately under development to be sure, but most likely not by NI.

may be something like a guitar synth, but you dont need a hexed signal, just the normal guitar lead/plug.. and it translates chords!

My guess is that here will be some flashy new products and we'll see fifty threads about them on Kvr with people saying how amazing those products are and how they can't imagine having ever lived without them and you'll have other people in those threads saying that it's all just a pile of shite and completely useless and over-priced and then there will be some discussions and swearing and lots of 'yeah but, no but' and 'what the f**k do you know? and 'my host is better than yours' and some people will buy some of those products and then go online to share with the world (well, at least some meaningless minuscule part of it called kvr) and say that this amazing new product is better than sliced bread and they want to have it's children and other people will say 'oh, is that so?' or 'I'm hungry' and then a few weeks later no one gives a shit any more because really it's all the same shite repackaged and then BONES will come along to say that ORION can do it all better and he might be right in some cases and the world keeps spinning and it's almost weekend and I'm going to eat an apple now.
And before you know it a year has passed and it's time for NAMM 2010.
I'm so excited about NAMM I can hardly keep my shit inside.
