Started playing around with it and see the potential but is it a viable part of any body's writing process yet? How are you using it and integrating it into your work?

Are you talking about Intua Beatmaker for iPhone?

Got an iPhone a week ago, definitely plan on getting Beatmaker and Noise.io soon. Also the OSC app that turns the phone into a mini Lemur...

Yes(or iTouch)!

I have it, but what kills me is the fact that it only works with one shots and loops. If it had some sort of built in synth, then it would be different. At this point I dont think it would help me actually come up with anything in particular.

next update for beatmaker will have integration with noise.io synth app. YAY!!

Have BM and N.io.
IMHO The sound is quite spectacular from both but I don't know if the GUI on BM is as intuitive or immediate as it could be. Every-thing's there(though 32 pads instead of 16 would put it on a par with some major desk top app)but it's still all crammed into that small screen. The iTouch only having one button means the navigation and transport bars can reduce the sequencer page too much and while sample editing is excellent, you cannot control the length real time.

All in all there's a HUGE amount there for £12 and with a few updates Noise.io will be just as spectacular but only considering the power is in your pocket.

I'd like to know what success people were having transferring work to their bread and butter DAWs.

Going to be a bit bothersome jumping the files around...isn't it?

I'd love to open Noise.io up "inside" BreatMaker!!!

I understand where you're coming from. Do you not find the pitch editor enough?

has any integrated substractive synth? or only a sampler? and, piano roll?

I'm waiting to those features, then I'll get it.

Don't know if piano roll's in the pipeline. Latest BM records but audio treatment is pitch, re-size, reverse and crop. Some nice effects plus an x/y pad.

i'm quite liking the sound samples that come with Beatmaker-these are quite good quality.
