Percentage for the faders, real values for the rubber band. I read that.

You know, I recently upgraded to PT8 but I haven't played with or even looked at "Elastic Audio". What does it do exactly? In Cubase 4 audio stretches automatically based on the tempo, it's been that way for awhile. It also has had warping for awhile.soulata wrote:I like what I see so far
Although something like Elastic audio in PT would be welcome, too.
I'm not really clear on what else Elastic Audio in PT does. Is it more changing tempo without changing pitch like Sonar?
Thanks.

I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Unless you were a beta tester, do you know something we don't?
And what's so much better in Nuendo, other than surround features and the one or another meter mayhaps. To me it's still Cubase EX.

The Nuendo automation menu was in one of the screenshots, plus Steinberg promised already earlier that the Nuendo automation will come to Cubase later. This is a BIG improvement!

The automation in Nuendo 4 is seriously advanced and Nuendo offers connectivity and sync features that would be essential to a big post-production house that would look pretty "EX" to us.Compyfox wrote:ORLY?!ericj23 wrote:version 5 has nuendo automnation anyhoo

At one point (v2, I think?) they were virtually indistinguishable; I think it was just a Surround plugin that seperated the two! But they are quite different now, and Nuendo is missing some features that might bug a Cubase-hardened composer. In case you were wondering.

Dissapointment on the Grace Period for SX3 users:

I'd love to get some backup here. ATM, there is really no benefit for jumping on C4 now for getting C5 later in the process. Digidesign DOES better deals indeed.
