Doesn't that make "Coming Soon To Your Desktop" a tad misleading?
Who stands on their desk?
Hmmmmmmmmmm, maybe something ELSE is coming??
I think you guys may have missed the second link on the previous page, which shows an announcement for a new IK plug-in focused on Fender Amplifier simulations.

That'll be on my desktop as soon as it is included in a Group Buy! :-)

If it was an Apple product, it would be called iFender.
er, we've been talking about that already
a desktop fender controller?
ok, so I admit it's not EXACTLY that, but how frekin' close did I come!!!

I rule

As in, guitar into an input on my interface (or Receptor's guitar input) and feed audio into AT product of choice normally yet still control said AT product with the pedal and chained expression pedal / switches? Might make for a good product for me in that respect if that's possible, and also double as a nice interface on the go when I don't have my rackmount interface with me - just the laptop.
Yes! You can use just as a midi controller if you want. That's why I was saying it's really handy and most people I know would want one (myself included). It's really cool! Solid too.

pity they didn't drop the audio component of it and sell it cheaper as a midi foot controller...which I am sure more users will have use for.

Let's wait and see what the crossgrade street price is, then what you get being and esoundz member, then if you are gold or platinum there... :) Or convince Squids to do a Stealth Pedal / AT Fender / ARC (added the last one selfishly there) and let's get em all!

Edit - and thanks, Squids, for the info. I wouldn't mind having it for my laptop and even have a little pedal board that goes right into a travel case that would fit it and the other expression and two-switch box from IK very nicely :) I believe that's what they stated was the max expandability, maybe more expression pedals and switches? Can't remember, have to look.

No one would ever want to buy another filter plugin if they had this thing and IK would finally have a monopoly in something. At least this is what those effected demo sounds in the teaser suggest.

Yep! Congrats. You were so ON that I asked if we could give you one from esoundz as a sort of prize (because that's how I am) and I got it. So it's yours. Well done. You'll have one of the very first ones. They ship in a couple months.

All this hoopla about a Fender Amp sim? I suppose you could consider it "most influential" in terms of how many albums Fender Amps appear on but I've always considered them weak and weedy. Don't need the Stealth Pedal. Actually this is good news since I don't need to be spending money right now.

"Weedy", I like that. I will no doubt be getting this Amp kit. Aside from guitar there were probably a gazillion Wurly's and Rhodes played though Fender amps which only added to their already stellar character. Maybe a gazillion is a bit of an exaggeration but lots anyway. I have an original 69 Deluxe Reverb and it's weedy as all hell. Need to investigate the Stealth Pedal in more detail.

More like TWEEDY!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fender amps. They sound AMAZING! Dual Showmans, Tweed Twins, Deluxe Reberbs, Tweed Bassman!!!!!! Silver face, black face, brown tolex... BRING IT FREAKIN' ON as far I'm concerned. Are you kidding me? Stones use Fender amps, Clapton... every guitarist probably owns at least one Fender amp. It rules. Also, so do the effects!!!!!!!! Fender Blender (IK modeled mine hehe... finally got it back - I missed that pedal!), Fender Phaser are two of my favorite effect pedals!

Also the price is only a few hundy and it sounds utterly amazing. Fender was so picky about the sound that it went back and forth, back and forth until it was exact. You should see it in the Fender booth. I think they'll post a picture. It's really good news for a lot of reasons. Not only is it good for us AT "virtual amp/effects" collectors (a lot cheaper than the real thing huh? Some of us know ALL about that!) but actually I think it will reach a lot of new people too who will be more familiar with the Fender name than Amplitube which to a newbie sounds like something from another planet. If that increases the AT user base then it financially supports more goodies in that range... things like the Stealth Pedal which for less than $200 I think is a no brainer to have especially since it can also just be a midi controller for anything else (with extra expression input jacks so it can be a three pedal set up adding inexpensive expression pedals of your choice to it).

This is stuff is incredibly cool! It's all about the GEAR man! VIRTUAL GEAR COLLECTION. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in modeled gear. I love it.

Let's face it - the group buys have stocked me with all of the Amplitube products. I have more sounds than I could ever possibly use.

So, naturally, I'll be all over the Fender sim if/when there's a group buy available.

Since I (unfortunately) missed the last group buy, I feel justified in buying into a different one.

Post

Squids - which Fender Blender do you have? Sickle had wondered what they modeled and I'd like to know too. I'm assuming it is an "OAF" (Old As f**k) one not a reissue but don't want to assume :)
