Everyone's convinced it's going to be an OB8? I was kinda hoping it might turn out to be an SEM 32-voice with Xpander architecture or summat.

From the limited info available, it seems to have started out as an OB-8 emulation that evolved into having more Xpander like routing possibilities.

I suppose if they have to, an OB8 would do...

As long as it actually improves on something like OP-X, otherwise it'd be a waste of time as far as being an Oberheim emulation goes, much like Minimonsta is a waste of time if your main requirement of it is to be a Moog emulation.

I actually quite like the sound of the OP-X emu, and am very interested in this particular "version". Does anyone "else" (who actually owns it) believe it to be "crippled"???

No, the Reaktor version's not crippled. It does lack the features of the Pro version, meaning its options are a bit more limited, and it also has a different sound. It's slightly brighter and also has different response on the envelopes etc. It's still a very nice ensemble, but its not as authentic sounding as the VST version in comparison to the hardware.

Well if it is any thing like : "Imagine the architecture of the OB-8 with the filters and mod routing of the Xpander and to round it all off, make the filters seamless as per the SEM. Finally, add some new waveforms " then trouser seepage it is .
